My breathing came to a sudden stop. I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. They were everywhere. Tons, and tons of them. All of them were growling, their yellow teeth biting at the air. I went into sudden panic. My breathing started again, I immediately started to cry. I wanted someone with me, I couldn't take all of this by myself. I quickly rushed downstairs to find Zayn. I had to disobey him. I couldn't be without him. Not now.
Right as I hit the last stair I noticed it. Complete silence. Oh shit. This can't be good. I my breathing slowed down. I slowly made my way into the kitchen. Nobody was there, I turned the corner to find one of those- monsters in my boyfriends kitchen. My eyes widened as I froze. My mouth opened to scream, but nothing came out! The thing was banging it's head on the pantry door. It wanted something, something was in there. Zayn. I screamed his name:
"ZAYN!"
Dumbest mistake ever. The gory mutant turned around slowly and growled. It came at me at a fast pace, I screamed Zayns name again and ran to the other side of the kitchen. I grabbed a chef knife from the rack and held it close to my stomach, but pointed it at creature. It came towards me again, I looked away and was ready to stab when the loud growling stopped. I slowly opened one eye, then the other and looked to find the mutant dead on the floor. A piece of wood was engaged into the back of its head. I couldn't take the sight. I felt a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and threw up. My head went fuzzy and I slowly slumped down. My vision went into kaleidoscope. My hearing went blank. All I could focus on was nothing.....
I suddenly felt to hands grab me. I screamed and kicked, still shocked from what just happened.
"NO NO, LET GO! NO!" I screamed louder.
"HEY HEY, IZZY, ISABELLA, LOOK AT ME, CALM DOWN, ITS ME! ZAYN!"
I stopped when I heard his voice. Crying I got up to hug him. We both embraced each other tightly. I looked up at his face, hot and sweaty. I ran my hand down his face, happily to see him.
"It's okay, shush, it's okay...." Zayn whispered into my ear softy. I nodded my head in relpy.
We sat in silence as we gathered ourselfs up. I decided to finally break the scilence.
"What is it?"
Zayn looked at me confused, then barried his face in the palms of his hands. He then lifted his head shaking it.
"I-I don't know....to be honest." he finally said. I looked at kitchen floor, where there lay the body. I got up quietly and headed towards it. I stayed my distance. I honeslty couldn't belive what I was seeing. The thing's head was now, covered in dry blood. It's head bashed in, with it's brain's colapsed on the floor. The mouth was almost completey gone. The skin colour was pale. Almost a yellowish. It had a small amount of clothing still left on it. I couldn't even bare to look at it anymore. I turned away to find Zayn standing behind me, examinating it too. He looked tired.
"Zayn...How did this happen?" I asked. He took a breath in and started,
"I found it in here. I didn't even know how it got in here. It was too close, I hid in the pantrey....But you came down. I broke open the door and- I couldn't let it get to you. So I-" he motioned to the creature. I understood what he ment. His facial expression soon changed. Tears came running down his face.
"But, the part-" he continued, "that was-" he was crying badly at this point. He cried for a good minute and continuted again.
"The part- that was most fucked up was....." he shook his head, "Is that- that, THING is my BROTHER."
Zayn fell to the floor. I put my hand over my mouth, and now suddenly realizing that it was, infact Zayn's younger brother Daniel. It's face was so distored that I had a difficult time even knowing it was him all along. I had no words. What was this, chemical, toxin, or creature that did this to Daniel? Why? I hugged Zayn for a long long time. He got up and we went to sit back on the couch. I looked for the remote and pushed the on button. I turned to Zayn and said,
"We're gonna find out what the hell this is." He looked at me and held my hand. I fipped to the new station to hopefully find out what was going on. But when we got to the channel, I couldn't belive what I was hearing.....
