Chapter 4: In Case

Shannon POV

With Camila being dragged away to rehearsals, I was left all alone. I was only sitting alone for a few minutes until Mason busted through the bus door.

"Shannon! I completely forgot you that you have a interview with a local radio station in 15 minutes" he said out of breath like he ran all the way to the bus.

"How do you forget this shit?" I laughed.

I calmly got up and headed out the door with him.

"So they will be asking you two questions. I really don't know what kind of questions they are gonna ask but they are also asking if you can perform a new song acoustically" he said talking fast. I lost him after he said "you two".

"What do you mean you two?" I asked not addressing the fact that I had to perform as well.

"You and Demi. Did I not mention that part?" he asked knowing he left it out on purpose.

"No you skipped over that part! Mason you know they are gonna sit both of us down just to dissect everything we say. They are gonna ask a million questions about the break up. We just broke up two months ago, this is gonna be brutal" I said now getting a little nervous.

Demi and I barely talk as it is. We try to give each other as much space as possible and now we have to sit down in front of a camera and talk to a stranger about our break up. This day is not starting great.

"Just try to get through it. If anyone can do it, it's you two" he said with encouragement but it wasn't helpful.

I was walking down a long hall in the hotel which led to the room where the interview was talking place. I stopped in my tracks when I heard Demi's voice. I guess they had her do a song before I got there. I walked to the door and could see her seeing into the mic with her eyes closed. It was a song I had never heard before.

"In case you don't find what your looking for.

In case your missing what you had before.

In case you change your mine, I'll be waiting here in case you just wanna come home"

She finished the song and opened her eyes. They met mine and she just gave me a small sad smile. I knew that song was about me but I didn't know how to react. Everyone's applause brought us out of our locked gaze. Mason pushed me through the door and we were met by a young pretty blonde.

"Hi Shannon! I'm Bridget. I'm gonna be interviewing you and Demi today. It's really nice to meet you" she said looking a little nervous but super excited.

"It's nice to meet you too" I said shooting her a smile.

"Okay so we are all set up over here. So you and Demi can take a seat" she said pointing at the two chairs that seemed to be interestingly close to each other. Demi walked up and gave me a soft hug and whispered "hi" into my ear. I said hello back. We both sat down and gave each other a "we can do this look".

"So guys lets get this interview started. What do you say?" Bridget asked.

Demi and I both nodded.

"Let's do it" Demi said already more confident than me.

"Okay guys! So tour is starting in a week! This is your third tour together. Are you guys exited or what?" Bridget asked. We both laughed at Bridget's enthusiasm. Demi answered.

"Well I know Shannon loves being on tour and so do I, so I think it's gonna be a lot of fun! We are excited to see the fans again. They all love Shannon and I'm really excited for them to hear her new stuff" Demi said. She was gonna play this off like we were the happiest ex's ever.
