I WENT THROUGH my classes that day without much of a difference in my schedule. Superboy never showed up again, and I found myself kind of disappointed. I was heading out to the bus from the back of the school. I was very tired after my last class, emotionally, and mentally I had exhausted myself. Mainly from the tests and the strange things that had started happening like they had decided to use me to be the star of their freaky and twisted world.

"Today has been a fun one, hasn't it Ardy?" I shook my head, mumbling to myself as I dug through my bag for my phone.

I keep walking, not looking where I was going. Since no one came this way after class, I wasn't worried about bumping into people. And yet, being as lucky as I am, I still collided with someone, or rather, they collided with me.

I felt myself slam into their chest. I knew it was a guy since they were taller than me, bigger too, since I dropped my things in a flurry of graceful "ninja skills", trying to keep them in my hands. Exasperated I bent down and didn't even look at them as I went to pick up my things.

"Sorry," I grumbled, "wasn't looking where I was going."

They said nothing as I picked my things up quickly. I realized the person was still standing there as I stood up, and when I looked up to see their face, I gasped.

The first thing I saw was his eyes, his pale blue eyes, but that was all I caught before he put a bag over my head.

"Mmmmm!" I tried to speak but their hand was firm over my face, and then handcuffs on my wrist. Then I heard a voice, a young, husky male voice in my ear.

"Look, I know this seems bad, but we are trying to help you, alright? So just shut up and try to cooperate." Right. It's not bad, but here I am with a bag on my head. I struggled against him, but he held me to his chest very tightly, and he started walking with me, almost carrying me, and put me in the front seat of a car. He got in and started to drive.

I wasn't sure where we were headed, but I had lived here a long time and could probably have figured out where I was if I wasn't having a panic attack. Come on Ardy get a grip, think about what you can do to escape.

I still had the mobility of my hands, so I could probably make a move for the door handle, but I wouldn't have much to break my fall. Whatever choice I made I knew it had to count. I listened for any movement, but the car was silent. Now's your chance. I tried to be quick and reached up and ripped the bag from my head. Light shined into my face, and I was blinded for a millisecond as I tried to feel around for the door handle and found it. It was locked, and also, very very cold. I pulled my hand away from the door and looked at it. I saw that it was frosted over and shook my head, not believing what I was seeing. I finally heard a voice behind me.

"I was about to pull the bag off anyways, but looks like you saved me the trouble." I turned to look at him and finally saw my kidnapper.

"Whah?" I asked very confused.

It was him. It was the Superboy. I couldn't find any words. It was weird looking at him up close. He didn't seem threatening. His face was calm as he stared at me. It seemed darker than I remembered too, more tan caramel than white. We sort of sat like that for a few more seconds, as he waited for my response. I didn't know what he had planned for me, but it made sense now. The fact that he had been watching me, the strange gut feeling I had had all day. My heart started to pound as I stared at him in shock.

He sighed as he finally pulled his eyes to the road and said, "Look, they told me to take every precaution necessary so I'm sorry, but you're stuck with me."

Sorry?! What kind of kidnapper apologizes?! Something was off here.

"What do you mean "they"?" I asked.
