"HOW IS SHE DOING THAT?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the girl. Her body was emanating light... literally, not like when you're happy you glow or anything, I mean literal and legit glowing. She had light skin and very blonde hair, gold, shining streaks shown throughout it. She had a fair, innocent face, but her most striking feature, was her eyes. They were a bright gold and appeared to glow, much like Kion's and Brisa. At that thought, I looked around the room. They all were about my age and appeared normal except everyone of them had bright, rare colored eyes. The girl Kenda had deep blue eyes, like the ocean, Rai had gold streaked white eyes, Terron had unbelievably bright green eyes, Arian, the second guy, had silver eyes, they weren't stormy, more like a shiny metal, and Brisa had sparkly hazel eyes.
This must be some sort of cult, I thought. I looked around the room again, A cult with really cool contacts.
"What do you want with me?" I asked. I tried to sound as brave as I could, but it was definitely hard with seven strange eyed people, one of them glowing.
It was Terron that spoke first. "We don't want to hurt you, we promise," he started, "we just need your help."
"Oh yeah? With what?" I was doing my best to sound nonchalant.
"With saving the world."
I just stared at him. Then I threw my head back and laughed.
"Look, that certainly does sound enticing, and I don't know what this is or what you want," I said looking at all of them, "but I really need to get home. It's late and I bet- no, I know my Mom is freaking out right now, and frankly she's not the only one." I tried pushing past the Arian, but he kept himself planted in front of me. I glared up at him, praying my face didn't betray my voice. "So if you'll please excuse me I need to get the hell off this crazy train before it crashes."
"I know we sound crazy, and we are going to sound even crazier in a second, but we need you to hear us out okay?" I turned towards Terron's voice. He spoke softly to me. His green eyes seemed to calm me down as he stared straight into mine while he spoke. Terron's brown hair complimented his green eyes and lightened his complexion. He seemed kind and gentle, and other than the act that I felt like a wild animal with the way he was talking me and all, but he seemed pretty chill.
"What if I don't?" I asked challengingly.
"You haven't put up much of a fight so far, which means you're curious." Kion spoke then, and he was right. This whole thing had seemed bad from the beginning, and I hadn't really done anything to truly actually get away. I mean I had fought and everything, but when I wanted too, I could do some damage. Because he was right. I was curious, I mean I had a girl sitting in front of me glowing, lighting up the room, and besides, I didn't feel in danger for some odd reason. Everything seemed so familiar, and my mind almost craved the atmosphere around me, but this is wrong. They're all delusional and need a psychiatrist or something.
At that I folded my arms and looked at Terron. "What do you mean even crazier? Because as far as you're all concerned, you people sound like downright loony bin material. I mean kidnapping me? I mean I would have been fine with a flyer! Oh, and by the way, just a small detail here might I add, am I the only one who thinks it's weird that she is glowing?!"
Everyone looked at Jelena. She looked around at her mention and shrank back shyly. I almost regretted raising my voice... almost.
"I'm sorry we forgot flashlights, and I thought it would scare her more if she was in the dark." She smiled sheepishly, her eyes like a sad puppy, and her voice was small and quiet. Now I really regretted yelling.
