Star's Point of View
My heart was about to explode out of my chest. Was I really about to kiss him? Not in no ring, not in front of a crowd a people, not in front of a camera, just me and him?
"Do you smell something burning," he yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I couldn't help but laugh as he ran over to the microwave. With the smell of burnt pop corn in the air, Seth looked on top of my fridge, and smiled.
"I guess now we're even," he said, grabbing down my box of Cereal. "Unless you got me distracted on purpose," he smirked.
"Nope, that was just a bonus," I said, just now jumping down from the counter.
Of course, only I would fall on my ass, on what is already a awkward night.
"You okay?" Tyler asked, bending down to my level.
When I got enough courage to look at him, he actually looked concerned. Before I could even chance my mind, I put my hand on the side of his face, feeling his beard. After staring at each other for a few minutes, I leaned up. Before I knew it, I crashed my lips to his. I couldn't believe I was kissing Tyler. I knew deep down I shouldn't be doing this, but for some reason, I couldn't stop. It was almost like we were in the back of his old pick up truck, making out under the stars. The only difference was we were not in his truck, and we were in my kitchen. I don't know what came over me, but I got up on my knees, pushing him backwards, and crawled on top of him, without breaking apart, and deepened the kiss. Only when we pulled apart, did I remember about Dean. Fuck.
"Well, that was unexpected," Tyler whispered, bushing a piece of hair behind my ear that had fallen in my face.
"I don't know what came over me. I am dating someone Tyler," I whispered. "I never in my life cheated on someone," I said, finally rolling off him, and onto the floor.
I felt so bad, I felt like I was going to cry. I didn't want Tyler to see me crying, so I jumped up on my feet, ran upstairs, locked myself in the bathroom, and sat on the floor with my head in my hands.
"Come on Star, open up," I heard Tyler's voice from the hallway.
"No," I replied, wiping a tear away.
"Fine, I'll talk to you like this," he said, and I heard him on the other side of the door. "Tell me Star, do you regret kissing me?" he asked.
"No." The word was out of my mouth before even thinking about it. "But Ty, it doesn't ma...," was all I got out, before I heard him again.
"Yes it does. To me it does. Tell me, is he your boyfriend?" He asked.
"No, but," I said, until I got cut off again.
"No there is no buts Star. Tell me, are you and this mystery person exclusive?" He asked.
I never thought about it that way. We never talked about it.
"I don't know," I whispered through the door.
"How about this, don't make a big deal about it, until you find out," he replied, and I heard him moving around through the door. "I know you, how about texting him, and finding out, or you won't be able to sleep tonight," he said.
He was right. It was almost scary on how well he knew me.
"I don't have my phone," I said, as I reached in my pocket, and felt nothing.
"Open up the door, and I'll give it to you. It was on the kitchen floor when you got up," he replied.
Blushing, I opened the bathroom door just enough for him to stick the phone through.
