Kiana

The loud music, red cups, and sweaty bodies was all present in one house. All of them were having fun-- except for me.

"Enjoying so far?" Isabelle asked me, taking another shot.

"No," I rolled my eyes and stared at how crazy she is acting right now. "And you're drunk. Umuwi na nga tayo." I suggested, taking my phone out from my pocket.

"Party pooper ka talaga. I'm not going home." She replied, sticking her tongue out.

"Whatever." I tell myself, sighing. I got my phone and placed my cup on the table. I passed through swraty bodies and huge guys, but I didn't care anyway.

The fresh air kissed my cheeks. Just what I needed after a hell week at school and annoying party people downstairs; I still prefer being alone in a quiet and cool place. My eyes were glued on the view- The city lights looked amazing, and I wonder why no one visits this place often.

I was about to leave when a tall figure appeared on my right. He wore this simple gray hoodie and had earpods on both ears. I look at his side profile carefully, and I had to admit, he looks cute.

He saw me but just stared at me, and we were just 2 meters away from each other for almost three minutes. "Uhm, hi." I break the ice shyly. We're on the same place, with pribably the same purpose, might as well talk to him.

He stared at me and rolled his eyes. Just like that. Okay, failed attempt to make a new friend.

"Whatever. Kupal naman nun." I whispered to myself, shaking my head and continue to appreciate the calmness I feel right now.

"What did you say?" He asked, removing his earpods and staring at me. Wait lang, I thought he's busy listening to music? How the hell?

"Wala. I said you look masungit."

"I'm not. And we're not close for you to say that." Taray. English.

"It's just my opinion. And it's kinda true. I tried to say hi, you didn't respond. Isn't that considered masungit?" I defend myself and he remained silent. Ano ka ngayon, boy.

He took a deep breath and sighed. "Fine, I'm sorry. Hi. I'm Donny."

Ayun naman pala.

"I'm Kiana."

He nodded and smiled. I didn't know if it would be a good idea to chitchat with Donny or just remain silent-- I have this impression of him being a bad boy but a soft heart.

"So why are you here? I mean, why not party with your friends?" I asked, sipping my coke.

"I don't feel like partying the whole night." He breathed and shrugged. "Eh ikaw?"

"Same."

He just laughed and nodded. The silence filled us again; but I really didn't mind. It was surprisingly relaxing staying with this guy in complete silence.

I was about to start a conversation when my phone rang. nagulat ako dun ah.

"Hello?"

"Where are you, Kians? Isabelle is definitely wasted!" Hannah said in a screaming manner. Ang sakit sa tenga, bes!

"I'm at the rooftop. Wait for me, I'm going there."

"Alright, bye."

I checked the time and it was already past midnight. God, so I've been here for almost an hour?

I scratched my thoughts as i looked at Donny.

"Hey Donny, it was nice to meet you. Uhh i better get going na." I say nervously.

"Haha sige. Ingat ka." He bit his lip and smiled.

Okay i have to admit, he looks soooo attractive when he bites his lip or when he smiles.

I bid goodbye and rushed downstairs, still seeing lots of people. Seriously though, aren't they going to go home and rest?

"Heeeeeeyyy girrrrll" I rolled my eyes as Isabelle clinged her arm to mine. She smells bad; and that's why, my friends, is another reason why you shouldn't get so wasted.

"You smell bad. And I'm very sure you can't walk." I comment.

"True. Naka apat na beer nga yan eh." Hannah replied, carrying Isabelle as well.

"Ang bigat mo, Belle. Can you atleast try to stand?"

"I can't, just bring me to the car kasiiiiiiii"

Hay, what a party girl.

Hannah drove and I sat on the shotgun seat. Isabelle was at the back since she wanted to sleep, and Karina was there as well, helping out Belle.

"So what did you do at the rooftop?" Hannah asked while her eyes glued on the road. "There's gotta be something that you did."

"Wala. I just cleared my mind till I noticed a guy sat beside me." I said, shrugging.

"A guy?!" She said in shock. "Oh my, baka naman yan na yung hinahanap mo! The guy who will be your first!"

"Shut up. He looks masungit. Instant turn off."

"But maybe he wasn't in the mood? C'mon, gwapo ba?" She inquired as if every detail was important.

"Yes? I mean, may itsura siya. But yun nga, because of his "kasungitan", sayang siya."

"Are you two even close?" She raised an eyebrow. She has a point. I shook my head in reply.

"See, napaka judgemental mo naman."

"Whatever. Why are we talking about him? As if he's the "highlight of the day" noh." I defend, rolling my eyes.

We ended up in a convenience store, since we were craving for chips. I immediately saw Donny with his friends and i waved, trying to remind him that we kinda had a talk earlier.

"Dude, Kiana Perez?" Alex said, trying to stop his laugh.

Uhh, what? What's wrong with me though?

"We're not friends." Donny replied, rolling his eyes which probably he made sure that i can hear it.

Uy, ang sakit nun ah. Yes, we haven't talked that much. But still, ang sama kaya ng sinabi niya!

"Fine." I whispered to myself, walking past them.

I saw Hannah going in, getting some chips. I was about to go near her to get some as well until she approached Donny.

"Uy, Kuya! You're here!"

Kuya???

What.

WHAT.
