I push the art room door with my back.
Quickly spot Kelly holding our favorite sits in the back.
Near all the supplies, cuz lazy fucks."So I was thinking we should go to my brother's friend's house after school, they're going to be fixing up some water leakage, So my bro didn't want me home alone, plus his buddy has an arcade room, sorta like a hangout spot with a fridge you never want to leave. Wanna come with me me or go home and
watch some Netflix like the loner you are? Kelly quickly explains."Sure, you had me at fridge, no need to remind me of my boring lifestyle." I stuck my tongue out.
"You're pretty goofy today .... Why in such a good mood?" Kelly asks with a raised eyebrow.
I obviously can't tell her about the conversations with Noah.
Mostly because I suck at girl talk and I hate being that girl always talking about a boy."I had more coffee than I usually do this morning." I lied as I flip page by page through my sketchbook.
"You do know this is the last class of the day?" Why are you lying to meeee? TELL ME NOW!" Kelly whines.
Alright here it goes, my first minute of gossiping with a girlfriend. Pray I don't squeal in excitement.
"So I found out who the boy is in the band room always napping...."
I swear I saw Kelly's non-existent chihuahua ears perks up.
"Oh?"
"Yeah...." I awkwardly reply.
Do I keep talking or wait until she asks me more?
"Well who is it?!, Don't leave me in suspense." Kelly groans."Okay, umm let me begin with saying fate and destiny aren't always on our side, so don't get mad at me, I can't avoid him." I quickly inform her, hoping she gets the hidden message.
" Whaaaaat re you talking about, who can't you avo-Waaaaiit.... Is it NOAH?!" Kelly whispers yells and then starts laughing.
" Did I miss something, Why are you laughing?" I ask confused while also not conforming she guessed right.
" Oh gosh I thought you went to an empty room, not the band room, everyone knows He goes in there to sleep, they're just scared of interrupting him, Funny how you still go in and come out, what's your secret? Kelly replies.
Dumbfounded, I face palm my myself.
"How come I was never told of this, ugh can people hear me singing in there oh gosh, no wonder everyone looks at me, I wasn't afraid of entering the band room." I breathe out in pure panic."Will you relax, good thing he didn't put out poster who the mystery girl singing him to sleep all over the hallways right?" Kelly jokes.
I roll my eyes. " Yeah thank god that never happened, one because we aren't living in a movie Kelly, and two he was awake yesterday so we finally confronted each other face to face." I respond.
"Ugh let me live my fantasy, you're the one on the movie screen and I'm the viewer, quit being a shitty actor." Kelly replies with another metaphor she creates on the spot.
I idiotically smile at her.
"Okay, well tell me what my next lines are to prepare for the next scene, so I can minimize the nerves." I smirked back."I'm glad you asked, but You're in charge of it all. Well part of it, Noah can help you with the other half." Kelly replies.
"Staaaahp, this is too much. I don't think I can go back into the band room anymore, or even make any more eye contact with him, why is he so hard to avoid?" I groan.
"Hmmmm, then don't go if he has some sort of interest in you, let's analyze what he is willing to do. Don't show up for a few days and see if he comes searching for you, oh gosh that would me so romantic. Your absence wouldn't let him relax."
"Great idea, hopefully it's a rainy day and we see each other on the sidewalk." I play along with her lovey dovey expectations.
"Ugh perfect, expect you're always on that motorcycle. See you're always cursing your love life." Kelly states.
"Both of those things you said are true. But we'll see." I confirm.
"So new mission or not, come on I need some adventure in my life, do it for me, I am your only friend don't let me down." Kelly whines with her manipulative threats.
" Ugh fine, mission 102 is in progress." I sigh in defeat.
The bell rings.
" Yay!, come on let's go my brother already outside! Warning he's a bigger smartness than us combined so pocket your feeling.""What feelings?" I joke as we make our way out the school doors to the parking lot near the main entrance.
Kelly chuckles and flicks my forehead before running up to her brother's car.
