His face slowly leaned into mine. Oh my gosh! He's going to kiss me! No! Yes? I don't know! I look at him as his eyes stare into mine, his face getting closer. Closer. He stops, I see his hand grabbing a remote from behind me.
Oh..
I exhaled, not realizing that I was holding my breath. He looked at me strangely.
"Um..you okay?" He asked as he turned on the flat screen with the remote. I blink blankly, not really knowing how to respond.
"Yes! Er..I mean..I'm fine, thanks for asking." I smile awkwardly and chuckle, slipping my hand from his to grab my glass and drink the rest of my champagne.
He shakes his head as he smiles and switches between channels. "What do you want to watch?"
I looked at the TV, then out one of the windows. People could be seen having the time of their lives swimming in the pool and acting like normal teenagers. Lucky..
"Aren't we-um..supposed to be partying and having fun?" I say rather nervously. The way those words came out of my mouth didn't feel right.
His eyebrows raised. "Well, sure. I just thought you'd want to be somewhere peaceful. I know you're not the most social person."
How dare he assume things about me that are true! I shifted a little. Hating that he knew that about me. Honestly, I didn't think anyone cared to know rather than the three delinquents that hang out with me.
"It's your party. You should be the one enjoying it. It doesn't matter how I feel. I'll be fine. Go ahead. I'll be," I pause and looked outside again. ", around.."
His eyes held worry in them. Stop it! I'm not helpless!
He stood up as he grabbed my hand "You sure?" His hand squeezed mine.
Did I not just say yes? No. I did. So why are you still asking dumbass?! My face frowns.
"What did I literally just say?" He let go of my hand slowly as he says ok and starts for the door.
"If you need me, I'll probably be inside." Opening the door, he stops.
"Em?" Half of his body is already out the door. Just go already!
"Hm?"
"At least try to have fun..for me?"
I stop and look at his hand on the knob. Why do you care anyway?
"I-I'll try.." I can almost feel his smile.
"Good." His voice calls as he leaves and shuts the door.
I sigh. Why does he even care about me? Let alone know who I am. Why can't he just worry about himself and be a spoiled little rich boy like he's suppose to be?
I turn off the TV and get up as I look around. I start walking towards the book shelf, curious about what treasures awaited the return of roaming eyes. I slide my finger down the titles of the books.
Twilight..Read it
Harry Potter..Skimmed through it
The Gift..Partially read it
The Women..Read it
Ship Wrecked..
Ooh..that seems interesting
I grab the small yet thick structured book. I read the description. A woman. A man. A love. A heartbreak. A cliché. Well I never have read those kinds of books before..
