"No, no, no. You have to be quiet." Blazeheart hissed in frustration as Dapplepaw stepped on yet another dried up leaf.

"Well I'm sorry I'm not you." Dapplepaw spat back. Not waiting for Blazeheart to criticize her hunting anymore, Dapplepaw raced into the forest.

"Come on Dapplepaw. Come back." Blazeheart yowled after her as she ran into the forest.

Where am I?, Dapplekit thought as she padded through the unfamiliar territory.

"Going somewhere?" the deep purr interrupted Dapplepaw's thought as she stared in terror at the pale tabby tom.

"Who are you?" Dapplepaw hissed staring at the cat that had emerged from the bushes. He seemed young but his pelt was marked with the scars of previous battles and he was muscular under his thick fur.

"My name is Flint. And you are?" the gray tom stared at her expectantly.

"Dapplepaw." she hissed, trying to put as much hostility as she possibly could into the one word.

"Well nice to meet you Dapplepaw. What are you doing here?" Flint asked.

"No, what are you doing here. This is ThunderClan territory." Dapplepaw snarled back.

"No, it's not. This is where me and my brother Shade live. You should be glad you met me and not him." Flint meowed.

"And why is that?" Dapplepaw questioned.

"Because he would've ripped you to shreds, no questions asked."

"I doubt that." Dapplepaw purred confidently. "I've been training hard with my mentor."

"Training for what?" Flint meowed curiously.

"To become a ThunderClan warrior of course." Dapplepaw meowed.

"Okay then. Where do you come fro-" he was cut off by a loud meow from not far away.

"Dapplepaw! Dapplepaw where are you?" Blazeheart's yowl was getting closer.
"Well that's my cue," Flint said. "Nice talking to you Dapplepaw." He said bounding off into the dense forest. Dapplepaw watched his shadow until the forest swallowed him up.
