WAR

Run.

I wake up and realize angel isn't next to me; i start to freak out. "Baby?!?!" I yell out. I check my phone and realize its 12:43. I freak out more and search the whole house for her. I find her in the kitchen, filling up her backpack with food and money from the safe.

About $2,000 and a few snacks and some waters. "What are you doing??" I ask sort of sternly. She sighs. "I was gonna come get you once I was done down here.... But.... Okay here goes nothing." She says confidently. "We are running away. From the bullying, from your dad, from my parents, from this stupid small town! We can get away! We can-we can live our lives- together!!! We can be happy finally. We can get jobs and go to another state. Wherever we want! We can buy an apartment and-and-and start our lives together. Be with EACH OTHER! Forever!!!!"

I smile and run over and hug her tightly. "I'd love that babygirl. More than anything i wanna get away from here. Lets go." She smiles and we finish packing and go outside.

We take my car, a 67 chevy impala (xD i had to). We put our stuff in the trunk and get in the car. I start it up and we pull out of the drive way. "Where to babygirl?" I ask her while driving down the road. "How about colorado? Its beautiful especially in the winter!! Cold but gorgeous." I giggle. "Alright. Colorado it is!"

Three days later we arrive in monument colorado. We had spent the last three days in roach infested motels eating crappy truck stop food and small snacks from little stores. We are currently staying in a fairly nice hotel waiting for 3:00 to come.

We have a showing of an apartment then. Its 2:50 and we are only seven minutes from the place so we get in the car and start driving towards the building. The guy who is showing us the apartment pulls up and gets out of a matte black sedan.

"Hello! You must be Riley and Angel? Nice to meet you I'm matt." We each shake his hand and greet him with smiles and introduce ourselves. He leads us inside and we instantly see a beautiful apartment. First thing you see is the living room and kitchen.

Gorgeous black countertops in the kitchen and white cupboards. White walls and one blue one in the living room. Dark wooden floors and a balcony off the living room. We each smile and in unison say, "Holy shit!" The guy laughs lightly at our reaction.

"Furniture included. All been remodeled about two months ago." I nod and he leads us down a hallway into a bedroom, clearly not a master. Its walls were painted a light yellow color and it had a full sized bed and desk with a desk lamp. "This is one of the bedrooms. Not the master though. Obviously."

We go back into the hallways and he shows us a bathroom with a stand up shower. Its walls, painted a deep teal. "Bathroom." Me and angel look at each other and she whispers to me, "I like it." I nod as if saying, 'me too'. We walk into the master bedroom. Big and beautiful; a bathroom extended off the corner.

The walls are painted a deep crimson red and the bathroom a pure white. Dark oak wood floors and an old black victorian king size bed with a big black canopy. Beautiful black desk and chair. Gorgeous black shutters. We go in the bathroom next. Huge bathtub. Stand up shower. And full length mirror. We look at eachother and nod.

                        "We'll take it." I say.
