"hello Anastasia "
I dropped to my knees.
"Aaron Carpenter , oh my god " tears feel freely down my face.
"why are you at shawn's house? " I laughed through my tears.
" I've been friends with him for awhile. why are you here?" he asked as he stood up.
" boyfriend and girlfriend" shawn smiled at him.
" how do you know him Ana ?" shawn looked down at me.
" he's my brother" aaron smiled at me.
" but your last names are different" shawn looked at him confusingly.
" I told you that my father cheated on my mother. but she cheated on him also and had him. this all happened when he was on a 2 year business trip. she got pregnant and had aaron. then aaron went to live with his father and I stayed with my mother. we kept in touch over the years." I smiled at shawn.
he nodded and looked over at aaron.
"why are you back in Miami?" shawn asked.
"moved back. mom is letting me stay at the house. " aaron looked at me.
"but dad is home. mom went away for 3 months"
" I know. I met her at the airport."
"what about dad?" i worriedly looked at my brother.
"I don't know. mom didn't tell me anything about it." I nodded.
" well I'm gonna go get my stuff, aaron wanna help me?" shawn looked in his direction.
"aha, you are staying with us aren't you" aaron laughed.
"yeah, do you mind?" aaron shook his head and they walked upstairs.
I looked at my phone and it was 8:46 pm.
oh god..
I have 14 minutes to get to the point.
Linda will kill me.
"SHAWN, I HAVE TO LEAVE, AARON WILL TAKE YOU HOME. GOTTA GO.... I LOVE YOU GORGEOUS " I yelled up the stairs.
his head popped out of a room which I assumed was his.
he nodded sadly.
" I love you too babygirl. I meet you back at the house , wait what about the-"
I raised my shirt up to show him the pistol in my waistband.
he nodded.
"be careful" he mouthed.
I blew a kiss up and he returned it.
I then proceeded to sprit out of the house to my bmw.
the car roared to life as I pulled out of the drive way.
I sped through roads until I got to the point, which was a building on the edge of the water.
I looked at my phone.
8:57pm.
I quickly walked inside to be faced with Sam wilkinson at the door.
"Miss Carson. nice of you to show. " he looked me up and down.
I realised I was still in my pyjamas.
"can I see Linda now? I have places to be. " I told him off quite annoyed.
he nodded and told me to follow him.
we walked up two flights of stairs and walked into a well lit room.
chairs and tables lined the rook along with a big mirror and bar.
"drink ?" he asked me.
I shook my head no and sat down on the red velvet couch.
Linda walked in the door and smiled when she saw me. she made her way over.
"Anastasia, nice of you to show."
Sam said that.
"what do you want Linda. I have somewhere to be."
"I want you to give me shawn in exchange for your life"
"what? no I won't do that. " I yelled at her.
" then you can die or work for me.." she rose to her feet.
"I'm not killing anyone. not like your grandfather. "
"no honey. none of that. this is a drug business. I don't do killing...anymore"
"I don't know..."
"then you can die " she pulled out a knife from her bra.
"wait! give me a month to make a decision. one month that's all I ask for. please" I begged.
she placed her finger to her lips and tapped.
"one month.thats all. Sam will check up on you every week. "
"deal. "
she stuck out her hand.
I grabbed it and shook her hand.
"one month Ana. that's all."
I nodded and walked down the stairs and to my car. I got it and just looked out the building.
I'm not giving her shawn. I'm not selfish.
I won't die either.
"I'll work for her" I whispered to myself.
but...how was I going to tell shawn?
