Labelled Lovers

During the Christmas holidays,Driving up to her family's home Chloe was deep in her thoughts,

I just finished college & started as an intern in a multinational company.Everything seems perfect almost. My parents are proud & I have friends who adore me too but I have this void in my heart that I can not fill with anything.It is like a missing piece of a puzzle.It is like that I lost something dear & wanted something near. 

I am almost here.My sister is getting married .Gabriella truly became the perfect daughter with her degree in law & now getting married.God knows what questions I might face !

As Chloe arrived her family farmhouse she saw many of her parents family friends drinking tea & enjoying on their lawn.Some of them who were near Chloe greeted her. She put a smile on her face & greeted everyone.

Chloe went to her sister Gabriella & hugged her.She said,"Congratulations ! Gabbie!"With a smirk on her face Gabriella said,"Finally my maid of honor showed up ! " Chloe said,"I'm really sorry ! but you know what I was going through ! " Assuring Chloe Gabriella said,"I know."  

One of her mother's sisters came & said to her,"When is your wedding?" This  question made Chloe cringe.She replied with a fake smile,"When I'll get the right man !" Chloe's mother came & asked,"Where is Tony ?" Chloe replied,"We're not together anymore ! " After hearing this,Chloe's aunt could not wait to brag about her daughter.  

 Chloe had a boyfriend ,Tony. Like her other relationships it did not work out.4 years long,she had many frustrating relationships.None of those could fill the void that she had inside of her heart.

As Chloe was making arrangements for the rehearsal dinner of Gabriella & Mark (which was about to start), she felt like a lightning had struck her.It was no one else but Sujeet , her high school friend.Many memories struck her .

Chloe's POV:

I couldn't believe my eyes it was Sujeet. He is one of Mark's best mans .However,Gabriella  did not tell me anything.Everyone I  had ever met I  labelled but not him. He is the only person I never labelled.He was none of my best friends or my boyfriends.He was someone I liked spending time with.He understood me & I understood him.Because of his race & color my parents did not  approve of him .They never straight forwardly said it but I knew.I love them but they are not perfect.Only Gabriella liked him .She used make fun of  us.She used to say that we were  lovers.

Sujeet used to talk about India .He wanted to take me there.It was at the end of senior year,when we started growing feelings for each other,I stopped seeing him thinking it would lead into something unpleasant.He contacted me many times but I never answered.Up until now,I did not realize how much I missed him.

As Sujeet saw Chloe,he was not surprised at all. He knew that Chloe would be here. Chloe seemed a lot surprised. 

Sujeet's POV:

I don't know what to feel.It was Chloe.One of the people I lost in my life.This week has not been going good.After my breakup,I have to see Chloe now.When I fell in love with her , she cut me off. I never wanted to take anyone to India except her. It's weird to think of that !

Memories are flashing before my eyes ! I have missed her so much ! She probably arrived at the highest point in her life as she was an overachiever.She probably has a boyfriend.She is probably happy now !

Being confused Sujeet asked,"How are you ?" Being nervous Chloe replied,"I'm okay ! What about you ?"

Sujeet replied,"I'm fine !Is your boyfriend here?" Chloe replied,"No,I am not in  relationship currently ."  "Oh." Sujeet said.

Chloe turned her back.Even though Chloe turned back,they kept  looking back to each other.This sudden interaction was really awkward for both of them.

Chloe later asked Gabriella why she did not say anything about Sujeet. Chloe said,"I wasn't sure what your reaction might be ! I wanted you to come  ! Plus I thought it would be nice if you guys finished everything face to face  !" Chloe said,"After all these years ? what am I supposed to feel?" 

The wedding made Chloe have wedding tears.She could not believe that her baby sister had got married.So,She became overwhelmed.

All through the ceremony Chloe found Sujeet  staring  at her like he used to years  ago .The bewitchment had not changed.They talked .She came to know about his breakup with someone named Tina.First it was awkward but then it did not seem like that years passed.It felt like only yesterday they were in school together.

Chloe told Sujeet about her life & so did Sujeet. They realized that none of their relationships worked out.Out of the blue,Sujeet asked,"Why did you cut me off? Why suddenly you stopped seeing me?" Being confused Chloe replied,"I felt like that it may lead to something unpleasant.I didn't want to hurt you.My parents, really didn't approve of you !I was a confused teenager who didn't know what to do ! Thus I ruined my one happy relationship!" After a while Sujeet said,"I am not in love with your parents you know !Our relationship was murdered in the beginning !From the place  I'm from doesn't change my feelings for you." Being surprised Chloe said,"What do you mean ?Do you still have feelings for me ?" Sujeet replied,"Yes, I never stopped loving you !If you just had given me a chance,If you just had given us a chance,Apart from being the perfect daughter if you just had thought of yourself for once,we could be divine." Chloe said,"I always had this missing piece in my heart that I could never fill.In the run of being perfect I sometimes sacrificed my happiness ." Chloe stopped & said,"But not anymore !"

The Next morning everyone was preparing to say their goodbyes to Gabriella & Mark as they were leaving for their honeymoon. Nobody could find Chloe or Sujeet. Chloe & Gabriella's parents became upset .

Suddenly,  A call came to Gabriella's phone.As Gabriella answered,she heard a warm voice.It was no one else but Chloe . Chloe said,"Have a safe flight ! " Gabriella asked,"Where are you?" Chloe replied,Living the dream,Gabbie !" Gabriella said,"Don't mess with me ! Do you have any idea where Sujeet is ? He isn't picking up his phone." After saying this Gabirella heard Sujeet's voice in the phone too. Chloe laughed & said,"We're headed to India ! Just wanted to talk to you before you go & let you know that we're okay !hope you'll handle everything as always."   Gabriella was stunned & she said,"So it worked out finally !Now I can label you as lovers ! " A  sound of laugh came from the other side of the line.
