Author's Note:
Just so we get one thing clear:

(Y/N)= Your Name

(L/N)= Your Last Name

Sorry, I just noticed some comments in some of my other x Readers were that they didn't know what those stood for or meant...

Enjoy the story~!!

"I'm Chief Yagami of the NPA," the chief said and the others introduced themselves. I wasn't going to though... what if this new guy was Kira?? "Ms. (L/N),stop being so rude and introduce yourself immediately," the chief commanded. Was he really this stupid? And when did he get so pushy??

"No, she's right," a certain monotonous voice called out.
"Huh?" Soichiro asked, obviously confused.
L lifted is hand in the air and extending his index finger. "Bang!" He exclaimed.
"What the Hell was that all about??" Someone said. I didn't really pay attention to who though. I wasn't very good with any of their names. It's probably because I'm pretty disconnected from all of them. The only one I actually talk to is Matsuda. He's pretty cute. I would never date him though.
"If I was Kira, you'd all be dead Soichiro Yagami of the NPA. Ms. (L/N) here was the only one smart enough to realize that," L continued. "Let's value our lives, much like Ms. (L/N)."

All the chief did was kind of glare at me. What has gotten into him? Why was he so rude all of the sudden? He must be seriously stressed with this new case. We've been working on it for a while though, so it's not like it's that new...

L had everyone put there cellphones put in a plastic container and they were all turned off, I guess he doesn't like the ringing because he thinks it's rude while he's talking? That's understandable I guess. Was this guy really L?

"L" sat down in a very strange, crouched, position in a chair, putting his knees to his chest and resting his hands nicely on his knees. He invited everyone to come sit down on one of the open couches. "Alright, just as a safety precaution, I am going to interview all of you to make sure one of you isn't Kira," he said.

The chief was first. In and out they came. At least I wasn't the last to get interviewed though. That was Matsuda. Poor guy had to wait all this time.

"Please, come in Ms. (L/N)," L motioned me to come in. It was a way different room with surveillance cameras and one, lone computer. "So, let us begin," he shut the door.

After a while, things got boring... One pointless question after another. I guess this was necessary.  At first when this was all exciting, I had a lot of fun working on this case. Then, it just kind of dragged out. I know L has solved many cases in the past, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to solve this one. It's as if this is all being cause by some sort of death god.

Finally my turn was finished and it was Matsuda's turn. He seemed a little nervous to go in there. Was he Kira? Certainly not! I couldn't imagine him doing anything of the sort! But hey, you never know, right?

Once they were done with that, L motioned all of us to come over and sit down with him. Once again, he sat in his weird position. I wonder why he does that...

Lecture after lecture and I was getting restless in my seat. Man, what I wouldn't give to sit Indian style right now (otherwise known as "criss-cross applesauce" {if you still aren't catching on it's when you cross your legs while sitting down XD}). I was growing rather impatient as of right now. How much longer was this going to be? I hadn't been listening for a while and if I started listening now I would only be confused. What was I going to do?

"Ms. (L/N), what do you think? You obviously hold a little more common sense than some of the others in this room," L brought me out of my daze. That is when I put my attention on him.

"I'm so sorry L, I kind of spaced out. What were we talking about again?" I was pretty embarrassed. I started to turn a little red.

"Are you okay? Do you need to lie down? You seem a bit uncomfortable," L said. I couldn't tell how concerned he was. He was pretty monotone and emotionless. I felt really weird talking to him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just.... I just don't like the way I'm sitting. I guess you could say I'm a little jealous of the way your sitting is all," I lightly chuckled and blushed. I was still VERY embarrassed...

"Well, if it would help your deductive reasoning skills, then go right on ahead and sit however you'd like," L motioned me to sit more calmly.

"O-Oh... O-Okay.... A-A-Are you sure??" I wasn't sure about this but hell, if it helped me relax and be less fidgety, it was worth a shot, wasn't it?

"Be my guess, Ms. (L/N)," L nodded his head.

I wasn't quite sure how to feel about this, considering how professional I looked in my outfit. I would look kind of silly actually... But whatever, it was fine. I think this might actually help!

"Okay? If you insist..." I immediately took my shoes off and brought my feet up on the couch. I sat with my legs crossed and I was hunched over. My hands were placed in my lap while I twiddled my thumbs. This was way more comfortable.

Chief Yagami looked at me astonished, "Ms. (L/N)! What has gotten into you!?"

"Wh-What are you-" I began, but then L interrupted.

"It is quite alright Mr. Yagami."

"But-" There was fire in the chief's eyes. I don't even know why he was so uptight. This had to be more than just me.

"No. She is completely fine. In fact, if it would help any of your deductive reasoning skills, please, sit however you'd like, and dress how you'd like. I will not judge you and your commrads shouldn't either. We are here to solve this case. It's whatever helps us further this investigation," L nodded. "Enough of that. We meet back here tomorrow," he said.
