"I need to talk to you," he replied.

I stepped out onto the porch. Julius didn't budge nor did he go back inside. He just stood there with folded arms. I sat on the step and Chris joined me.

"I'm really sorry about today, I really wanted to come but something very important came up," he said.

"It's okay Chris,I know you would have been there if you could," I replied.

"Thanks so much for understanding Kiz and I was wondering if maybe you would like to go to dinner with me,I made reservations at Olive Garden, " he told me.

Was he like asking me out on a date? To Olive Garden too, that place is so expensive. Although Chris has money anyways. After all his father, Mr. Lockwood is the mayor.

"Christopher Lockwood are you asking me out on a date?" I asked him smiling.

"Yes Ms. Martin, now will you come?" He asked.

"Yes!" I yelled, "I mean of course, " I said casually but inside I was bursting.

"Great,I'll come pick you up tomorrow at 6," he said. Then he leaned in to kiss me but I moved back, it just felt weird kissing Chris in front of Julius.

Chris  POV

We were under attack. It was the Montris pack again. I don't know why they didn't like us. Every now and then some of them would team up and come looking for trouble. But we'd show them trouble because my pack didn't accept defeat. I hoped this would be a short war. I spent all morning helping to set up defences to keep the Montris pack off our territory. I knew I wasn't in danger because  dad made sure I was protected. As he said 'The future alpha should be kept under lock and key. ' Yes my dad is the alpha of the pack and he refused to hand over the title until I found my mate and I did and I told him but he decided to keep the title until Kizzy knew everything.

I kept on telling dad that I had somewhere to be but he wouldn't let me leave. I paced around in the living room anxiously. I desperately wanted the war to be over so I could be with Kizzy. She texted me that she was at the cafe but I couldn't do anything. The war had started about an hour ago,dad went out to fight leaving his personal, hand picked guards to watch me and there was no way past them. I didn't want to disappoint her so I was forced to text her back to to say that something came up and I would be there soon. Things however did not work in my favour. The war lasted for hours. When it was finally over dad came back inside telling me I could leave now.  As if that helped. I rushed through the door.
