Chapter 3

Garroth

We finally made it to the hospital and the won't even let me in Aphmau's room! I need to see her again.. She's not waking up they said, she hit her head pretty hard and  was hurt real bad.

"Who are you?" I hear a man's voice call out. I turn my head and see probably a six foot three inch guy come walking towards me. "Hello. I'm Garroth. Who are you?" I ask the man. Scanning me up and down, he replies, "Jason Alex Lorde. I was told my daughter was in the hospital, from a car accident and this is her room number," 'Jason' says. "Well, it's nice to meet you sir. I am Aphmau's friend. She called me when she got into the crash and I immediately drove there but police and ambulances beet me to it." I explain. "Why aren't you in her room?" He asks me.

"Well, they won't let me in. I had to tell them I was Aph's boyfriend in order for me to come. I understand if you are upset with me.." I say, with my head down. "Keep your head up high boy." I look up at Mr. Lorde, my eyes getting a little blurry from some tears. "You helped my daughter in any and every way you could and I thank you for that. So of course I'm not upset at you! Why would I be?" He asks me. "Well, I did pose as your daughter's b-boyfriend.." I say, still keeping my head up high. "But it was for a good reason boy. You kept her safe, and I am forever in your depth for that."

--Flashback--
"My name is Aphmau. Aphmau Lorde. Oh thank you so, so, so much! You are forever in my depth!"
--End of Flashback--

I smile of the thought I just had of me and Aphmau talking. "Sir, how is your wife doing, if you don't mind me asking of course?" He looks at me confused and then realizes that Aphmau told me. "She's doing great in fact! My daughter was telling me of how some man that she didn't even know payed for our hospital bills the other day!" He doesn't know it was me... I smile at him and tell him it was me who did that. His smile turns into a huge grin, going from ear to ear. With that, he engulfs me in a hug and thanks me for everything that I have done for his family.

"Excuse me." We hear someone call to us. We both pull away from the hug and we see a man in a doctors uniform. "Aphmau Lorde is now ready to be seen. She has unforuntanly not awoken yet and if she does not in 5 days, she will lose her memory of everyone, and everyt-" before the doctor could finish, I interrupt him. "B-but s-s-she's gonna wake up r-right?! S-she's gonna be okay, right?!" The doctor just looks at me and shakes his head. "We are not sure. I am sorry." And he walks away, like nothing happened.

Me and Aphmau's dad walk into her room, and I motion for Jason to talk to her first. "Hey baby girl.." He says with his voice cracking. "I'm so sorry this has happened to you.. Garroth and I are here and we will never leave your side. Please, don't forget about us baby girl... Please.." Mr. Lorde excuses his self from the room to take "a minute". Then, it's my turn to talk to Aphmau.

"H-hey Aph... I know you probably can't hear me right now but that's okay..! Because I know you will wake up soon and never forget about us. Aphmau I know I just met you but you're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't get you out of my mind. I don't know if I love you, or think of you as a friend, but I'll let you know. I promise, I will. I will never leave your side, no matter what."

As I start to get up from sitting on the edge of Aphmau's bed, I feel something holding me back.. I look back at Aphmau to see her eyes open, holding my wrist. "A-Aphmau!" I yell with excitement, hugging her. She looks at me, confused. "Is everything okay?" I ask her, smiling. "Yeah but.. That man standing outside my room," she points to her father, "who is he? And..

Who's Aphmau?"
