Harry had completely forgotten the last time he had walk down to the stairs to the Slytherin common -well, he hadn't, but it was not in the most innocent of acts. Especially when at the time he believed the bubbly child who hung off of Harry's every vague, descriptive word was planning to kill all muggle-borns. he didn't seem the same."You know, when we first met in Diagon Alley, I didn't realise you were Harry Potter." Harry blinked at him blankly, the memory that Draco had resurfaced was one he had buried deep, deep, deep down inside his soul. Partly because it was unnecessary to be near the surface. Mostly, because it gave him a strange coiling feeling of guilt and responsibility. But Draco grinned a sly grin as they continued down the thin, sloping corridors. Further and further underground. In the torch light his eyes flared bright, "I knew you were going to Hogwarts too though," As the steps became steeper, Harry felt his heart beat intensify greatly, "We spoke for barely moments as I left long before you did,". His great silver eyes looked into Harry's own eyes. His eyes were alive has he uttered the next part, and Harry could have sworn he felt part of himself break -
"We're two sides of the very same coin, you and me. We will have each other's backs, because a coin will never only have one side. Isn't that just amazing?"
In a way, it was amazing, nothing could compare - Draco the little poetic swine had pulled Harry's legs from under him and was now offering a hand back to his feet - a heavily guided hand, but a hand non the least. And somewhere, somewhere inside of him, Harry felt a grudge trying to be held against the innocent child who was nowhere near developing into the creature he was to hate. There were miles in between of separation. This was a boy full of enthusiasm and hope who needed guidance himself as much as Harry did away from the potential prejudice presented ahead in his future. And Harry had a chance.
"Was that poetry, Malfoy‽ Harry grinned as Draco sighed at him; almost in disbelief. Though his former grin had been much like Harry's own; though quite intriguing, it was in a way creepy and alien. They had reached the foot of the stairwell by the time that Draco spoke once more, this time with a bit of bitterness, "what did you do at your muggle primary anyway? Did you not study? That reference is quite a popular one in wiz- "Harry stopped Draco, biting his lip – not wanting to create an outbreak. Between himself and Draco.
"It wasn't a wizarding school, nor was it a paid schooling. I didn't have a tutor. I had a teacher, and this was not what we did. We did things like lower maths and English as we would have a further four more years in education at the least. So we didn't advance like yourself." Harry mumbled hands in pockets as he walked.
He wasn't enjoying this conversation, as he felt a minor – he was very much so, but it was awkward. Harry had never had a civilised chat with Draco to this point (other than disguised as a idiot sidekick back in second year, where Draco had obviously tried to dumb himself down to be compatible with his cronies IQ). His intelligence was almost intimidating for Harry; Draco's mother and father had known he would only be in literal and mathematical education 'til age eleven. They had ensured he knew all he needed to – and by the sounds of it a little bit extra. The Draco replied, "shame really."

The wall as a large stone one, with beautifully carved images of snakes. Each one different as their carving through and around an apple in the centre that glowed bright green. The prefect at the front waited for them to gather, clearing her throat loudly.
"Right, is everyone paying attention?" her eyes skimmed the crowd, "good, good, now then, you touch the apple, like soooo" she rather half heartedly, " and say the password clearly: Smoke." Though the wall began to crack and separate before their very eyes to her command, to them all, she blocked it. "I'm not done yet!" she hissed, rolling her eyes as the scene of the common room unfurled behind her, "avoid getting the password wrong please, the result you will most definitely experience are not good nor positive." She spoke this part with full seriousness with a stroke of malice mixed amongst it as her eyes burned brighter than her lips.
