Dan walks home from another bad day of school, he thinks about what his parents are going to say to him once he tells them as he kicks the rocks from the side of the road.
Dan wasn't a type of person to get bad grades on his report card, or have a fight with the innocent boy from gym class. Dan was always the polite, innocent, shy boy who doesn't like to go outside. What has gotten into him?

"You got into a fight?!," Dans mom yells, Dan looks down at his feet, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. "Al right!" Dans dad laughed and put his hand on Dans shoulder, his mom scoffed and pulled his dad away. "This is a very big problem. You should never get in fights with people, you hear me?!" She yelled in Dans face, a tear slipped from his eye and rolled down his cheek as he doesn't bother to wipe it. "Honey, I think he learned his lesson. Don't yell at him like that," his dad stuck up to him. "I will not! I did not plan to raise a bully! Go up to your room right now! I'm taking away your electronics!," his mom demanded. A few more tears escaped his eyes and tickled his neck as he ran to his room, closing the door behind him and fell onto his bed, sobbing in his pillow.

(Next day)

Dan didn't have a good night. He couldn't sleep, he couldn't go on his phone, either because everything was taken away.
Dan wakes up to his only electronic in his room, his stupid alarm clock.
Dan lays in bed with his head laying in his remnant tears that he had left last night on the damp pillow case for a few minutes, just thinking about life and how he's going to apologize to the poor boy he fought. Dan groaned and ripped the blanket off him, walking to his wardrobe to find an outfit for the day he has ahead.

*he's done getting ready for school*

Dan made his way to the kitchen to be greeted by his mother and father. Dan was about to turn the other way before they noticed he was there, but they noticed him as soon as he came down. "Daniel Howell," his mom spoke, making Dan flinch by his mothers stern voice calling him by his full name and turned around to face his mother, who had her arms folded, and his father, reading the news paper; obviously not wanting to get involved.

"Your father and I have seen your grades," great. Dan scrunched his nose, "I'm sorry! I'm just having rough days lately," Dan mumbled. "Well you better fix them because I will not have a stupid child! I have never, ever wished to raise a child like you. You better change, for the good" his mother yelled, grabbing her coffee and walking out of the kitchen.
Dan looked at his father, his eyes were almost showing that he cared, sympathetic eyes, they seem to be. Dan rolled his eyes and walked out of the house, slamming the door behind him only to hear a scream from his mom.

(He arrive at school)

Dan got off the bus today, of corse his mom took his car keys. Dan looked down at his feet while he walked. He didn't bother saying sorry to the people he accidentally bumped into.  Dan went into the cafeteria, the whole school meets there in the morning before the first bell to homeroom rings.

Dan looked up because he was tired of bumping into people who were built like rocks. He instantly found his best friend, Chris waving at Dan for him to come to him. Dan smiled, only Chris could make him smile, with that round head of Chris' and basically just the way Chris looked always seemed to be funny to Dan. In a good and friendly way, of coarse.

Dan walked over to not only Chris, but to Peej and Louise, too.

Peej was the smart one in the group, always holding a video camera because he would like to become a director one day; nobody was stopping him.
Louise was pregnant by the schools jock- he basically gets every girl pregnant.
And Chris, he was the comedian of the group, he always knew how to make someone laugh just by looking at them; it was amazing how he did that.
They were all special to Dan, he was thankful to have them in his life when he had nobody.
Dan waved at his friends and sat down, obviously faking a smile for the day. "Hey Dan, how are you?," Louise asked, rubbing her tummy. "I am great!" Dan lied. He wasn't doing great. For the past week, Dan has been failing his grades and causing himself trouble. He always looses his appetite when it comes to food and his mom always treats him like crap and causes him to cry at night. Dan can't let them know he's hurting, he doesn't want anyone's pity or to be in the spotlight.

Louise nodded, Peej finally speaking up. "Is that the boy you beat up yesterday?," he reminded. Dan glared at Peej for a second, then turned to where he was pointing. The boy was far away from them, Dan had to squint his eyes to see the boy.
Dan shrugged, he didn't remember what the boy actually looked like, but he knew what color hair he had. He was the only boy with black hair, Dan found that amusing in a way.

Dan turned around to look back at his friends, they're all gone. Dan got the message and huffed, walking over to the boy and tapping on his shoulder.

The boy turned around, he looked amazing. Dan could only think about how the boy turned around in slow motion, like the movies. Dan noticed the boys eyes, how they were a shade of sky blue. The smile on the boys face was contagious and could light up the whole room, but

the boys smile dropped once he had seen Dan.

1020 words.

(A/n- I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of this. I have a few ideas about this book and I feel pretty confident about it. I will post long chapters whenever I am feeling bored and probably some short chapters.
