-----Courtney's POV-----
I zipped up my last suitcase and called for an Über.
Once it got here, I looked back and sighed. I'm having flashbacks to when I left Los Angeles and I'm honestly missing it.
Yeah I made new friends here, but my new family, friends, and boyfriend are all over there.
I step out of my apartment door, being sure that I have everything first, and then locking the door after me.
I walk out of the building as well, walking up to my Über, the man helping me get my luggage into the trunk.
He takes me to the airport, as per request, and drops me off, helping me remove my luggage.
I go into the airport and do the basic stuff, check in my bags with my airline, print my ticket at a cache, go through security, find my hanger, and find a seat.
Before long the plane is here and they're announcing my flight, "Flight 208 is now boarding, please line up in order of your seats."
I have seat 6A.
I line up towards the beginning and soon I'm walking into the plane and sitting in my seat.
—skips plane ride bc awful person—
"Hello, and welcome to Los Angeles! It is 83 degrees outside currently with an expected high of 94 degrees. It is also 9:37 in the morning. Have a wonderful day and thank you for a wonderful flight, I hope to have you guys back soon!" The perky flight attendant announces at the end once we're waiting for our hangar to open.
Once it's open and we've pulled in, I grab my purse from beside me and wait until it's my row's turn to exit the plane.
I walk through the tunnel thing that connects to the actual airport and go to the familiar baggage claim.
I find my two family sized suitcases and take them off of the conveyor belt and begin to wheel them towards the exit when I hear my name.
"Courtney! Wait, Courtney over here!"
I see Cameron running towards me when I turn around. He grasps me into his arms and pulls me into a huge hug.
"Welcome back! How's life been treating you." He tells me as he separates from me.
"Yeah, it's going good. Thanks for the flight I was planning on getting back out here soon." I inform him.
"Yeah well that wouldn't be until your temp spot was over. And you didn't call or text me or anything!" He says and playfully slaps me.
"I'm sorry, I really am."
"Yeah and you left without explanation." He scolds me like a mom.
"I just really needed to get out. And now it's weird because Emily is acting like she never lashed out at me." I stuff my hands in my pockets because he insisted on pulling my luggage.
"Wait you two haven't talked?" He asks confused as we get to his car and he stuffs everything into the trunk.
"No, all I know about her recent life is that she's out of therapy and her and Kian are making it work." I tell him as I get into the passenger seat.
"Oh, well, they're doing good, they all left for a weekend trip, from Friday to Monday, to Seattle today."
"Who's 'they're'?"
"Jc, Kian, Emily, the girls, and everyone else," he smiles to me lightly, "they all drove up there and went road tripping. Well technically they left in the night," he looks to me to see my reaction.
"Then wait, why am I here so early? And where am I gonna stay?" I ask extremely confused by this point.
"With me, at least until they get back. And this is a surprise to everyone but me and Emily, so keep it a secret from Jc until they get back. Emily's idea. Oh And I'm figuring they're gonna want you all to themselves so I figured I would get time with you to catch up." He frowns to me, "I miss you."
I reach over and hug him as I speak, "Awh okay, I miss you too. And I want to see you throughout the time I'm here still."
He looks at me and smiles, "WHOO HOOO! It's gonna be like college all over again."
"That's scary," I laugh, "I got blackout drunk every Friday night,"
"That's when you were in a bad place, you're not anymore," Cameron rubs my shoulder.

this book is gonna be so much better quality than the last one, we're gonna focus on the content more than the update times. 😉
