Ava's POV
OH GOD. I can't be seen with Jane if he is here, god knows how it might end up. Or maybe her brother Jake isn't the Jake me and Greg know, hand on I meant Luke. Eugh! We even changed our names for him, what if he recognises us? He could not only kill us (not sure if I mean that literally or not) or expose who we really are and die a slow painful death. School.
"What school does Jake attend?" I asked her.
"City Heights High" she said. Damn, there was only one Jake in our year. Plus Jane was on about the wrong business that her brother was in, could that mean drugs? But if Jane knows and she is telling
people at school, then why does Jake only seem to come after me and Luke?
"Oh right, cool" I said trying to sound like it didn't bother me. Big fat lie.
"Oh god, I have seen that face before" she said randomly. What does she mean? Does she recognise me from the news?
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"Your expression on your face shows you want to meet my brother!"
"WHAT! Ewww no thanks, I don't date my friends brothers sorry"
"Sorry? Don't be sorry! Jeesh your doing me a favour!" she said. I laughed then tried to forget everything I was told. I need to speak to Luke, before home time. We managed to get to English before he closed the door, indicating lateness.
Just like I thought the teacher would, I stood in front of the whole class and introduced myself. I could see Jane laughing at the back and I couldn't help but laugh myself. Then the door opened and Luke came in, he smiled then handed the teacher a note.
Now for his turn.
"Thank you Shelly you may sit" I sat down next to Jane. Then I saw that Luke had sat down too and I wondered why he hadn't had to be humiliated.
"Sir, Luke needs to introduce himself too" I called out.
"Not today Shelly, we don't have time" What! Okay now I just embarrassed myself in front of the whole class by telling them practically my life story and Luke gets to sit down and blend in! Eugh. I could see Luke smirking at me from across the room but I just stuck my finger up at him. Idiot.
"Now class I would like you to carry on with the Shakespeare work we have done. Remember groups of four or more and must be a mix of boys and girls" I heard sir say.
"Okay so there is me and you and then we could ask our brothers to join in our group too" I said indicating that the me and you was for me and Jane. She nodded then I called over to the boys. They rolled their eyes but I didn't see anyone else volunteering to have them in their group.
"Okay now what play is it?" I wondered. I saw Jane open the script and flicked through the pages.
"Hmm...well the characters are Romeo and Juliet so I'm guessing Hamlet?" I heard Spencer say. Okay now I don't know whether he was joking or not or whether he really was dumb.
"Whatever I'm being Juliet and Luke you have to be Romeo because it would be weird kissing my own
