By the time the Transfers had been given the tour my body felt like it was on overdrive. I tried to keep well ahead of Eric but we always seemed to end up close to each other. Zeke had disappeared once we stopped at the pit. One minute he was next to me with his arm around my shoulders the next he was gone, like he had been yanked away. I didn't sense he was hurt so just figured he needed to do something else. But from that point on I could not escape Eric. Between our arms accidentally brushing or feeling him directly behind me close enough I could feel the heat emanating from him and the breath from his mouth I felt like I would collapse from sensory overload. The tingling that I had felt when we were younger seemed to be magnified and it was definitely going to places it had never gone before in my innocence back then. The Erudite part of my mind was almost kicking myself for not having tried to experiment with any romantic or sexual relationships to compare by bodies reactions to. I did the best I could to regulate my breathing.

During the walk through I looked around to see the makeup of the transfer group. There were 14 of us. 2 Amity, looked to be brother and sister or at least related, 1 Abegnation boy who looked sour faced and pinched, 6 Erudite ( oh joy) including myself, and the rest were Candor. The Dauntless-born numbered at the least the same if not more. It was a big group for sure and I was pretty damn thankful that the council and Dauntless leaders had decided that there would be no cuts from initiation. Anyone could still be sent packing if they were either completely incompatible or did something to deserve the boot. Jobs were also based on rankings so there would still be fierce competition.

When we finally made our way into the dorms I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard horror stories about the cleanliness and state of the dorms and bathrooms previously. The sleeping area was huge and pretty well lit with single beds and lockers spaced around the room. There appeared to be two rooms at the back separated by a thick wall that could only be bathrooms. They were most likely not assigned boy or girl rather just first come first serve. It would be nice if boys took one side but I wasn't going to stress if I had to take a shower beside a guy. They tried something they wouldn't like what they found. Looking around the room I quickly found my friends. Zaria, Zack, Elara, and Lee had already claimed us all beds and pushed them together so we could sleep in our preferred style....all piled in together. They waved me over and I ran over and jumped into the mix with them laughing in relief.

Four, Tris, Uriah and Eric were in the room and then Tris began to go over initiation, rules, and what the first few days would consist of. I couldn't really avoid looking at Eric because he made it a point to lean against the metal post right beside Tris and I swear I felt like I should be full of holes from his stare.

"Now that everyone has had the tour let's cover some ground rules. This is where you sleep. You do not sleep in any other part of the complex without permission or notification from a leader or instructor. Lights out is at 11pm, but we highly suggest you get to bed before then because training will kick your ass. You are all adults and we don't need to be your babysitters. In your lockers you will find essentials that we have provided. They are just the basics but you can get more or different ones at the commissary. In just a bit we will all go over to pick up the clothes you will need for training as well the shoes that are required. Again if you want any additional clothes, and we highly recommend you pick up enough to rotate out while washing, then there are stores located in the pit. You are being provided a watch, they have all been calibrated and are set to the correct time. It is recommended you set your alarms early enough to allow to get dressed, have breakfast and in the training room by 8am." Tris was interrupted by some disgruntled whispers. I couldn't help but shake my head and frown at the Transfers near me that were bitching and moaning all ready. My friends and I exchanged brief looks over what idiots they all were. Maybe they thought because she hadn't yet spoken harshly to them that she would be soft on them, they were soon about to find out different.
