Chapter- III

Currently this team of rebels was feeling down, given the fact that they did not even eat as much as a morsel of imaginary food for many suns. Nitwit had a destination in mind, but the only problem was that they were slightly lost though he didn't break this news to his dear friend Jas. The last thing he wanted was to handle a crying kid.

"Nitwit, where are we going?" Jas asked for the hundredth time now. He got the feeling that Nitwit was purposely trying to avoid his question every time he asked, and let's just say he was growing impatient. He had left his sanctuary long back, left the Neverwood long back, they had even crossed the Crocodile Creek three times for the Peter's sake and yet they hadn't reached their destination.

He was getting tired of the monotonous surroundings; the same musty smell of the creek always hovered around him. His conclusion: They had been moving in circles for suns now!

"Nitwit, please, where exactly are we going?" He again tried. This time Nitwit decided to give in.

"You want to know then listen. I was trying to take us to the Mermaid Lagoon, but the truth we are lost! So let me think this through and don't even think about spilling those dam waters from your eyes and also trust me when I say that these putty little crocsies love to eat crying children." Nitwit said with a stern voice.

Jas became nervous with his threat though he did not show. Looking around, he realized the familiarity of the place, "The Cannibal Cove!" He exclaimed.

"What?" Nitwit asked.

"I said Cannibal Cove, we are at Cannibal Cave and Mermaid lagoon is in the east Nitwit. If we follow the directions of the stars I am positive we can reach there." Jas replied triumphantly.

"I already knew that, of course we are the cove, I was taking us there so don't think you are smart." Nitwit's ego has deeply injured since kid was doing a better task at guiding them out of the mess of tress.

He looked for the unvarying North Pole. This method was very effective, no matter how old it was.
Once identified the east direction, the duo set for the mermaid lagoon with a new boost of determination. But things weren't going to be easy for them.

Again came the Crocodile creek, but this time they were not so lucky. It was no mystery to either of them that they had been lingering under the radar of the crocodiles for a long time now. But what to do against the Destiny, roles were meant to be played, so the characters were being prepared.

The supposed ruler of the Crocodile Creek, the leader of this small nation of Neverland, had a desire to taste a mouthful of those cronies of Pan. He had his fair share of meetings with that discourteous Pan and it was safe to assume that their encounters didn't really go well.

He had smelled some meat in his vicinity for a long time now. He had lost faith in his old senses now, but strength of this delicious morsel was growing, and sometimes faded also. The only one conclusion to this, his supposed food was moving in the Creek. What a delightful thought for him at least!

The little pair had been feeling nervous for a while call it their sixth sense or may be seventh, they were not so confident about roaming this particular area anymore. This thought resulted in faster paces for Jas and a little faster fluttering of wings for Nitwit, since they were sure about direction, a blessed idea of Jas.

Nitwit's idea was clear, he would go to the Mermaid Lagoon, ask Jade to help send Jas back to where he came from and then both of their paths separate. Simple, was it. And that is how he liked it, but there was this emotional misbalance he felt whenever the thought about leaving Jas crossed his mind, so he kept it at a bay.
