Maybe if we count the people
that crossed our road today
those we greeted,
offered a smile -
count to whom we were a blessing to,
people we made feel worthy,
maybe if we count how many
lonely ones
we invited into our group
maybe if we count
how many times
we showed that we care
maybe we will not want
boyfriends or girlfriends
to give us all that...
