“Kurt Anderson-Hummel, are you telling me that you’ve never slept under the stars?!” Blaine exclaims, sitting up in surprise.

“Blaine! It’s not that big of a deal!” Kurt replies, softly tugging at Blaine so that he’ll rest his head back in Kurt’s lap, as it was before.

They’re sat on the bed of their room, just talking about mindless things, enjoying the presence of their other half. They had decided to move into a little house after they had gotten married (once Blaine had completed his NYADA course), and now, a year later, it is most definitely home.

“It is though!” Blaine replies, looking up at his husband, as Kurt runs his fingers softly through Blaine’s soft, loose curls. “We are changing that,” Blaine tells him defiantly, getting up off of the bed.

“But, I’m warm, and comfy and I don’t want you to go-” Kurt complains, pouting at Blaine, as he rises.

“Wait here.” Blaine whispers, leaning on the bed and softly kissing Kurt, before turning and walking out of the room.

“Blai-” Kurt sighs as he realises his husband’s already gone. He chuckles, shaking his head at Blaine’s adorable behaviour, waiting for his promised return.

Seven minutes later (Kurt had been counting) Blaine re-enters the room with a scarf in his hand. He takes Kurt’s hands in his and pulls him up of the bed, into his arms. He softly leaves a kiss on Kurt’s nose, before spinning him round and wrapping the make shift blindfold over his eyes.

“B-Blaine?” Kurt asks in surprise, feeling for his husbands hands. He takes hold of them, pulling them to his lips, wondering what’s going on.

“Honey, you know I hate surprises,” Kurt tells him.

“But you love them if they’re from me,” Blaine whispers, as Kurt pouts.

Blaine turns Kurt back around slowly, leaving a soft kiss on his pouted lips, unable to resist, before putting Kurt in front of him. Blaine keeps hold of both of Kurt’s hands, pulling them down to their sides, as he guides Kurt outside, into their little garden.

He sits Kurt down on the blanket he had laid outside for them, with pillows. Blaine had set it up at what he thought to be the prettiest point in the garden; the point that expressed the pure beauty of the stars in their best light. No pun intended.

Blaine had also dotted candles around the garden, giving it a vague glow, just enough to see outlines. Kurt sits cross legged on the mat, as Blaine kneels behind him, opening the blindfold, and kissing the back of Kurt’s neck as he gasps at the sight.

“Blaine…” He sighs. “It-It’s beautiful.” He shivers as Blaine wraps his arms around Kurt, pulling the taller boy to lie down next to him. “I know,” he murmurs in reply, turning slightly so the whispers lost in Kurt’s hair. Kurt looks at Blaine first, leaning to kiss his lips softly, not lingering, but it’s enough.

“Look up,” Blaine hums against Kurt’s lips, curling up against his side, resting his head over Kurt’s heart, as he turns. He feels Kurt’s breath hitch, as he takes hold of one of his husband’s hands, the other resting on his chest. Blaine looks up at Kurt, watching his husband’s expression change from one of amazement, to one of awe.

Slowly, Kurt leans down and drops a soft kiss to Blaine’s curls, his arm pulling Blaine closer. “I love you, so much Blaine,” Kurt murmurs into his hair.

“I love you too Kurt,” Blaine replies. “To the stars and back.”
