Chapter 12-Return of mother

Sebastian's POV

I held Ciel's limp body in my arms."Ciel!" everyone yelled as they looked on in shock.I picked her up bridal style, carried her to her room and put her in her bed. I pulled a chair to the side of the bed and sat down beside her, holding her hand. William came into the room with a cold flannel which I placed on her forehead. It took several hours for her to come to and I sighed with relief when she did so."Are you ok Ciel? Did you know who that woman was who was arguing with your dad?".She nodded and said shakily "that's my mother" .I looked at her in confusion."Have you never seen your parents fight before?"I questioned.She shook her head and spoke."It's not that.My mother supposedly died when I was 5".I heard movement from behind the door and then the door opened to reveal a woman. "Hello there, I'm Ciel's mother,Anastasia .Is she ok?".She extended her hand to my which I took and shook.She then looked over to the bed to see Ciel crying."Dad told us you were dead! I grew up without a female figure in my life do you know how much that's fucked me up!?".William entered the room and looked at the scene as Ciel turned her attention to him."And you, why did you lie to us?".Tears escaped her eyes as I went to her side."Ciel, meet us downstairs when your ready so I can explain".William spoke as they left the room.I wrapped my arms around Ciel protectively.She's been through so much already she doesn't deserve this."Let's go down".Ciel cleared her throat as she spoke."Alright love".I kissed her forehead as we headed downstairs. Me and Ciel sat down next to eachother as Anastasia began."Ciel, I know you're going to hate me but out of all honesty I didn't love your father anymore and I needed to find myself".Anger rose in me. 'it's not my place to speak, its not my place to speak, its not my place to speak' I repeated in my head to stop me from yelling."So you decided that your children where less important than you?".Ciel questioned in a monotone voice."I realised my mistake and I came back.Please Ciel forgive me".Anastasia started to cry as Ciel spoke again."Who's idea was it to tell us that mother was dead?"."I thought it'd be best.I didn't want to tell you that your mother didn't care about you" William answered."I understand father, I have nothing against you but you mother. Do you know what's happened to me without a female to learn from? I was attacked because people thought I was a guy and when I said I was a girl I was accused of being gay and I was attacked even more".Her voice was emotionless as she looked down at her mess of a mother."I need some time, come Sebastian".She turned her gaze towards me and then she went to get on her coat.I went to follow her until Anastasia grabbed my arm."Please make her see reason".Those words made my patience snap."You know what? Ciel doesn't need to see reason you do. Your apologies would not cut it for a girl who had to grow up without a mother because of her own selfish conduct. I'm not going to make her mind change like that since I am on her side.I love Ciel and she's been through so much today and you just piled more onto her plate of worries.Now if you exuse me I have to be somewhere".I walked off to grab my coat."What took you so long?" Ciel questioned."Your mother asked me to do something and it made my patience snap.I'm sorry for taking so long".Ciel kissed my lips quickly and giggled at my blush."Alright lets go".Our fingers intertwined as we left the house behind us.
