|| Arlo's POV ||We all grow up knowing that one day we will have our sixteenth birthday. And on our sixteenth birthday we know that two names will appear on our wrists- one on the right and one on the left. The name on your left wrist is the name of your soulmate. The name on the right is the name of your worst enemy. Some people pray that a name shows up that isn't the same as somebody they've already met, dated, and even let go of. Others pray that the name isn't the same on both wrists, which in my case, it is.
I sigh as I look down at my hands laying in my lap and slowly turn them over to look at the name imprinted on both wrists. The name that I had dreaded for months and all because it was the same. In tiny, perfect shaped letters was the name "Aria" on both wrists. Why the hell did it have to be the same? I wouldn't be so worried if it was a more common name, like Olivia or something, but I've never even heard of someone named Aria, meaning that there's a bigger chance of her being the same person, which is absolutely dreadful.
"Arlo!" I heard my name being yelled and I looked up out of my trance. I turned around in my seat just in time to see a banana peel flying right towards my face. I managed to dodge it, which caused it to hit the person sitting in front of me in the back of their head.
"What the fuck bro!" I yelled back at my friends who were laughing their asses of.
"What?" Holden held up his hands in surrender, still grinning widely. I rolled my eyes and shot him and Anna a glare while they continued laughing.
I turned back around to the girl in front of me. "Elinor you okay?" I asked and she nodded, remaining quiet. "They're assholes, don't mind them. Plus, it was my fault it hit you, I was the one who moved out of the way." I offer a smile, and rest my elbows on the back of her seat. "You're sure you're fine?" I ask again.
"Yeah, thanks Arlo," she smiles weakly and turns her head to look at me for a brief second before returning to the book on her lap. I never understood how people could read in a moving vehicle, but a school bus? Add motion sickness and loud screaming teenagers and you've got the perfect reading environment! Whatever, it's her life, not mine.
I flop back down into my seat and sigh again, but don't get a second to think at all as Peggy hurries to the spot next to me, moving live a ninja and making sure the bus driver didn't see. "Pegs really? Do you want to be referred to the office again for breaking rules on the bus?" I smirk and she rolls her eyes.
"Nice to see you too, Lolo."
I smile as my best friend uses my adorable nickname she gave me when we were five. She hasn't used my nickname in an entire year either, making me even more happy. "What's up?" I ask her.
"Could I get off at your stop? It's Friday and I don't wanna have to drive my shit of a car over for movie night." She gives me a cheesy smile and I laugh. "Of course you can, you always do anyway," I tease.
"Thanks Asshat," she elbows me in the arm lightly.
"Anytime bitch," I shake my head and smile at her.
"So," she pipes up. "What movie are we watching tonight?"
I shrug, "I don't know, and as long as it's not some stupid chick flick you can choose."
"Do you even know me?" she looks at me like I'm crazy then flips her hair over her shoulder. "We're having a Fast and Furious marathon. Get ready," she raises an eyebrow at me and smirks.
She's obsessed with Fast and Furious- I think I've seen all seven about six thousand times because of her. I groan. "Again Peggy?" I look at her with a 'please don't make me suffer' look but she only smirks more. "Get ready bitch," is all she says. The bus stops and we both stand, automatically knowing the first stop is mine. I follow Peggy off the bus and we begin to walk down the driveway to my place.
"Bye losers!" I hear Holden shout out the window as the bus noisily drives off. I turn and quickly flip him off, receiving a middle finger sticking out the bus window in return. I laugh to myself then continue to walk home, Peggy right in front of me.
When we reach the house, a butler immediately opens the door and nods his head towards us. "Mr. Jameson, welcome home. Miss Murphy, nice to see you today." We both smile and walk into the huge house, kicking off our shoes and heading straight to the kitchen where three chefs are busy at work preparing dinner. "What's the occasion?" Peggy asks noting the busy cooks. I roll my eyes and huff in annoyance. "My parents are having another state dinner thing tonight."
"Didn't they have one last week?" She asks opening up one of the massive fridges and taking out lunch meat, mayo, and cheese and setting them on the counter before grabbing some bread and a butter knife too.
"Yup," I popped the 'p' at the end and she sighed, unscrewing the lid to the mayonnaise jar. She began making her sandwich and I grabbed a slice of cheese and hoped up onto the counter.
"That's gotta be hella annoying," Peggy rolled her eyes.
"Trust me, it is." I watched as she finished making her sandwich and I finished eating my cheese, hoping off the counter. "Pegs grab a plate before we head upstairs. The maids have been cleaning all day, no doubt, and I don't think we should leave a mess after all their hard work."
She nodded and put the lunch meat, mayo, and cheese back in the fridge and grabbed a plate from the cupboard. I grinned and made my way out of the kitchen, Peggy trailing behind me.
I walked up the stairs and to my room, the same thing I did every day after school. I opened the door and Peggy walked past me, flopping on my bed but making sure her sandwich doesn't fly off the plate in her hand. I chuckled to myself and grabbed a t-shirt and sweats and headed to the bathroom to change.
When I come back out, Peggy is in the same spot but is now wearing her favorite hoodie of mine and shorts, stuffing her face with the last few bites of her sandwich. I scoff at her and she just shrugs. I grab the Xbox controller then sit next to Peggy on my bed and then sigh as I remember I forgot to put the movie in.
I set the controller down on the bed and hop back off to go put in the disk. Because we watched Fast and Furious all the time, I decided to buy the disk that has all seven movies on it, which is what I was putting in the disk tray of the Xbox One. I closed the disk tray and walked back to the bed, sitting next to Peggy again.
The movie loaded and I pushed play, waiting for my best friend to start quoting the movie word for word.

Thank you for reading this far for those of you that have!! I have been in a horrible writers block since January and haven't been able to write anything that is even decent. Last night I got this idea and wrote for about 4 hours and continued to write for about 30 minutes when I woke up.
I have a lot of things published, but most of my stories only get like 18 views and the occasional like or comment. *sigh*
Please don't be a silent reader!! Comment! Vote! Fangirl like crazy!
Again, thank you for reading this far. I will update as soon as I have the next chapter finished.
Much Love,
K. ♥️
