Chapter 9

I backed up a little as Steven approached me. He said with a smirk on his face," Why are you backing away? Isnt this what you wanted Reno? I thought you were tired of me and my shit. Isnt that what you said Reno? Huh?" I had started to doubt the choice I made. The fear of him was starting to take control of me. Reno! Reno! You've got this under control. You can do this! Believe in yourself! Everyone else does. You already know the trick he's playing you've played it a thousand times. Use it against him!

I said," No this isn't what I wanted. But I can show you what I do want." My eyes started glowing brighter and it got a lot darker outside. He said," Well then what did you want Reno?" His hand wrapped around my waist and he pulled me closer to him. I heard Star scream," Reno don't!!!!!!" I just looked at her. Tears were forming in her eyes. The guys were just staring at me like I was crazy. My hands were down at my sides sparking with electricity. Steven's face came closer to mine. I looked up at him smiling brightly. We were only inches apart. Soon his lips touched mine. Star screamed my name. I brought my hands up slowly. As soon as I touched him his eyes shot open. I whispered in his ear," This is what I wanted."

He dropped to his knees. I pulled out of his grasp. Star gave me a death hug and said," I thought you were giving up Ren. You scared me half to death!" Scourge said," I knew what she was doing. She did the same shit to me!" Shadow said," Nice work Ren." Sonic just stared at me like he was thinking about something. I wonder what he's thinking about.

Sonic's P.O.V.

I'm glad Ren didn't give up. She played that trick so well. She even had me fooled for a moment! I don't know what I would have done if she gave up. I don't even know what to say right now. She so beautiful with her sweet personality and - wait what the hell am I saying? I don't have feelings for her. I  don't even know her that well. How can I have feelings for someone I don't know? I don't know what am I even thinking about? Even if I do have feelings for her she probably doesnt have any feelings for me.

End of P.O.V.

Everyone had started talking amongst them. I thought this would be over until I was hit in my back. Blood dripped from my bottom lip. Everything had become slightly blurry. I heard Steven laughing as I dropped to my knees. He said," Did you ~twitch~ really thi~twitch~nk I'd giv~twitch~e up ~twitch~that easily Ren? ~twitch~ Your so ~twitch~ fucking stu~twitch~pid!" Tears streamed down my face as I tried to stand up. Steven grabbed me by my shirt lifting me off of the ground. The grip he had on my shirt made it hard to breathe. I could her people screaming and gun shots all around me. I didn't know if I was making this up or if it was really happening. I started to shake badly from the lack of air. Steven said," Why are you shaking Ren? Don't tell me the little brave solider is scared?" The last thing I remember is hearing my moms voice. I just closed my eyes.

Reno. Reno! Are you listening to me? You can do this. Don't give up. Open your eyes. If your gonna fight you need to see don't you? Just open your eyes and let the energy flow.

I opened my eyes slowly. It seemed that it had gotten even darker out. He still had a smirk on his face. As I stared at him I felt something wash over me. I felt a lot stronger. I could still hear people screaming. My mom and Star's voice were the most distinct. My mom ran up to Steven. She said," What are you doing?! Put your sister down! Do you hear me Steven I said put her-AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" I saw my mother hit the ground. She was shaking and I saw blood paint the grass. I don't know what happened. I guess I had finally snapped.

The wind picked up. My eyes and necklace shined brightly. The smirk on Steven's face disappeared. He dropped me to the ground. Once I was steady on my feet I walked over to my mom and kneeled down next to her. She had a big cut across her forehead and her cheek was red and bruised. My dad had just shown up on the scene. He came running over to me and mom asking what happened. I didn't answer. I just stood up.

My head shot in Steven's direction. He started backing away.  He tried to make a run for it but he wasn't getting away this time. I teleported in front of him. As I spoke my voice echoed. I said," Why are you running Steven? Don't tell me the brave solider is scared of a girl?" He throw a punch at me. I caught his fist and squeezed it tightly. His yelps of pain seemed to have angered me even more.

I punched him in the face. I said," Don't scream now. All of the years I've screamed in pain are coming back to you all in one day." I had a big smirk on my face. I kicked him in his stomach. He fell to his knees gasping for air. My mind was telling me  Finish him off Reno but I didn't know whether or not I should trust myself.
