A/N Hi. It's me. So, I'm so sorry I'm such a pathetic human being... I would say I forgot my password or my mum took away my computer, but really I just be lying. The truth is I'm just an awful, shitty person. Sorry! But hey, look I'm updating!! I will try my hardest to not make you wait multiple months for the next chapter... Oh god, I belong in hell.
Marinette POV
Adrien Agreste. My soulmate is Adrien Agreste! And the only spare seat is next to him!
"You're very late, Marinette," the teacher says. Right.
"I'm really sorry, Miss."
"Well, I'll let you off this time. Go and sit down." I sit down. Next to him. Next to Adrien.
"You're... my soulmate." His voice is beautiful, like a song. I nod. "Your name is Marinette, right?"
"Yeah. And you're Adrien." I sounded like an idiot.
"You know me?"
"Of course! You're Adrien Agreste! I have pictures of you all..." I clamped my hand over my mouth.
"What?"
"Nothing..."
"No, you said you have pictures of me." I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
"Yeah I uh... I kind of have a crush on you..."
"Well it would be handy if you liked me, considering we're soulmates. And for the record, I kind of have a crush on you too." I almost stopped breathing. Literally. Adrien Agreste has a crush on me? But I'm just... me! I'm just a normal teenage girl! Why, out of any girl in the world, would Adrien Agreste have a crush on me?
I look down at my arm, looking for a number, but there's no number. Right. He likes me because we're soulmates.
"Adrien, you don't just have to like me because we're soulmates. You don't even know me."
"And you don't know me either. You think you might, but everything on the internet is press-edited. There's so much about me that no one knows... Like the fact that I really do like you." I blushed. Blushed. I never blush. "Meet me in the car park after school, okay?"
"Okay." The word was breathed, basically just air. I look down at my wrist again. It looks so... empty. I study it closer, and realise that there actually is something else there. Words. It's faint, but I can just make out 'I love you.'
So that's it. The last words he will ever say to me. It's hard to believe that he will actually say those words at all. It's hard to believe that somebody, net alone Adrien Agreste, will tell me he loves me. And then, when he does, one of us will leave, or die.
Maybe if he never says them, we'll never be parted. Maybe if I can persuade him not to love me, it won't have to happen. And if one of us is close to death, all he has to do is not tell me he loves me, and it will be fine. But can I really live without my soulmate telling me he loves me? I sigh. I'm going to have to try.
"Marinette!" a voice calls. I look up.
"Oh, hi Adrien."
"What does your wrist say?"
"Huh?"
"Your wrist- the last words I'll ever say to you."
"Oh. It says 'I love you'." He frowns.
"Oh. I suppose your never going to let me say that then? I mean, I wouldn't if I was you."
"Yeah. I'm sorry."
"That's okay."
"What does yours say?"
"Please, no."
"Oh. Ugh, this sucks."
"I know. But, at least we know we'll love each other?"
"I guess."
"Come round to my house."
"Now?"
"Yeah. I want to get to know you."
"Alright."
His house was a mansion. Literally. It had a security look down procedure. It had like twenty bazillion bedrooms.
I stood in the front room, gaping. There was a staircase at the far end, splitting off into two. There was a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Pictures the size of ponds were hung on the walls, the windows even bigger.
A woman stood on the staircase.
"Natalie," Adrien greeted.
"Welcome home, Adrien." Her voice was posh and down-to-business. She looked pointedly at me, waiting for him to introduce me.
"Oh, this is Marinette. Marinette, this is my dad's PA, Natalie."
"It's nice to meet you," I say, trying to be as polite as possible.
"Likewise," Natalie replies.
"Come on, Marinette, we can go to my room." I nod, and he leads me up the staircase.
His room is as big as my house. It has two floors. What kind of room has two floors? There's a bookshelf that looks as if he bought a bookstore (A/N I am literally so jealous of Adrien's bookshelf) a basketball post, a huge flat screen TV... I would be more than content to live here and never leave.
"Earth to Marinette? Hello?" I shake my head to clear it.
"Right. Hi. What do you want to talk about?"
"I don't know. I wanted to get to know you, I guess."
"What do you want to know?"
"Everything."
"Um okay. Well, I'm sixteen. I'm an only child. My parents run a bakery, which we live above. I don't have any pets, but I really want a hamster."
We talked for hours, until I looked out the window and realised it was dark. "I have to go," I said, jumping up and grabbing my school bag.
"Alright. Will you be okay getting home?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine. See you tomorrow?"
"See you tomorrow. Bye."
"Bye."
A/N Hey it's short and shitty, but you know what, I'm gonna update. Now, quick question... One of the main reasons it takes me so long to update is because I never go on this account... So, if I started this story again on my other account @gorgii_x would you guys check it out? If I did I would never update on here though... Also, thanks so much for all your amazing comments! They make my day! Btw, if you want me to check out a comment, write it on my message board because that way I am guaranteed to reply (especially if you write it on my other account's one). Love you guys!!
