The Wolf Demon

Prologue

(A/N~a quick little author's note, bold italics is Ookami speaking with Chala and just italics is Chala speaking to Ookami when both are speaking in private like telepathy or when they speak in their wolf form)

Ookami's blue hair blew in the wind as her, her mother, and brother, ran through a forest to where her mother was told to go. I can smell them up ahead! "We're close then, good job Chala!"

Ookami saw a clearing ahead and she slowed down, alongside her mother and brother. Ookami saw goblins flying around the quarry, "it looks like they're swimming." "That's because that 'water' is a portal, I was told that some kids had gone down there and did something involving the goblins, and hadn't come home."

Ookami nodded, then she was looking around the surrounding area of the portal, when she saw glowing turquoise eyes. She saw the glowing eyes move quickly, "I saw something," Ookami pointed at where she saw the eyes disappear, "you see anything about them or it?" "Just glowing turquoise eyes," Ookami saw her mother nod her head, "you two can do this job, I'll watch for anything suspicious." "You sure, mom?" "You need more practice on shifting and controlling your urges to harm anyone that aren't friends and animals."

Ookami looked down, she closed her eyes and nodded, she felt her mother's hand on her shoulder, "I promise if anything gets out of hand, I'll step in, you'll do fine, I'll be here." Ookami felt her mother press her lips to her forehead.

Ookami smiled at her mother, then looked down at Chala, "you ready?" Ready as I'll ever be, Ooki.

Ookami held her hand out and Chala lifted his purple colored paw to her hand and she smiled at Chala, as she felt her body changing.

Purple flames consumed both Ookami and Chala, Kashe shielded her eyes from the purple flames. When she saw the light dying out she saw that her son and daughter were two separate colored wolves, with smoke coming out their heterochromia eyes, also some leaking out of their mouth.

"Remember, don't lose control of your fire you two," "yEs MoTheR."

Kashe watched as her daughter and son jumped and slid down to the quarry. "You can't protect them forever, Daeva." "I intend to, is this of your doing?" "I don't know what you mean of..." the voice smirked at Kashe, "you are more annoying then your brothers." "My brothers are nuisances."

Kashe nodded her head slowly, keeping her eyes on her daughter and son. "My brother is still heart broken, you know," "it wouldn't have worked out with us, now leave."

The voice's smirk faltered, then shifted his eyes to Ookami and Chala's shifted form. "I'm still confused on whose children you carried, Kashe." Kashe stiffened when he said her name, he never does that.

"He's dead, died months before she was born," Kashe watched as Ookami and Chala stood in front of the portal, the flames in their eyes grew as fire started surrounding the portal.

The voice that stood behind Kashe, snarled, "I can't let them do that," Kashe spun around with her knives in hand pointing them at the voice, "I won't let you hurt them." The voice's face lightened and he smirked.

Ookami and Chala were focused on closing the portal when, Chala looked up, mother! What's wrong? She's fighting someone. Ookami looked up and saw what Chala was talking about, mom! We've gotta save her. What about the- the portal can wait, we've gotta save mom! Ookami and Chala ran away from the portal, the purple fire surrounding it disappearing, letting goblins fly back through.
