My heart drops into my stomach as I hear those words. I'm just not used to something like this. Not knowing what to say I just stare back into his eyes.
"Ignore what I just said, I don't know what I'm saying."
He says looking away and rests his chin on the palm of his hand.
"Let's leave, malls are boring." I stand up without turning around to look at him. He follows me and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"I want to show you something." He speaks and walks faster towards the exit. I just nod and go behind him.

It's still raining but now much harder than before.
"Taeyong it's too rainy, why won't we wait in the mall and go to the place you want to show me once the rain stopped, we'll catch a cold." I suggest and look up at him. He takes off his jacket and puts the hood on my head so my hair doesn't get wet.
"No, you'll get sick." I raise my hand to take the jacket off but he stops me by holding my wrist.
"It's okay, I don't get sick easily."
"Hm okay if you say so... Thanks a lot." I thank him and look at him with a slight smile on my face. He turns his head and smiles back at me.

We arrive at an old museum and find a place to sit.
"I used to come here often with my dad, brings so many memories." Taeyong looks down at the floor with an emotionless face expression.
"This was the last place I was out with him before he died of lung cancer."
I turn my head around and look at him. I gently rub his back.
"I'm so sorry." I feel sad and heartbroken.
"No it's okay, this place is just really special to me and I like to come here, it makes me want to laugh at the funny things we always experienced here, I don't come here to cry." He says looking up to the sky.
"You're such a strong boy, did you know that? Your dad must be really proud of you." I point out.
"Aw don't be sweet. Now let's not be lazy and get up to see some stuff." He just gets up not even a second after.

We explore the place until it gets dark.
I take a look at my watch and gasp at the time. "Fuck, I need to go."
"Wait!" He shouts and holds my wrist.
"What is it Taeyong? I'm sorry but my mom is gonna ask me where I have been and she'll get pissed." I reply anxiously.
He holds both of my hands and looks me in the eyes.
"Stay, I don't want to say goodbye yet." He says with his deep voice.
I get lost in his eyes and lose all my words.
"Speechless?" He chuckles.
"You idiot, always wanting me to get in trouble." I say whilst shaking my head.
"I think I might-"
Suddenly my ringtone interrupts Taeyong.
"Oh shit, sorry that's my mom, give me a minute." I apologize and accept the call.
"Mina??? Where the hell are you?" She shouts through the phone.
"I'm sorry I needed a new textbook so I quickly went to the library, I'm coming home now, don't worry." I lie so she doesn't ask too many questions.
"Ok you better be quick, it's dark outside, see you later."
"Yup."
I end the call. Taeyong just looks at me with his eyebrow raised and a slight smirk.
"Library?" He bursts out in laughter.
"Shut up, she would just be annoying if I told her that-"
"You're on a date with me?" He interrupts me with a bright smile.
"You see skipping school as a date?" I just burst out in laughter.
He just smiles and looks away.
"Okay but for real now, I need to go." I say slowly stepping backwards.
"I'm walking you home, it's too dark for you to go alone." He replied already walking next to me.

Finally we arrived in a few meters away from my home.
"Ok I'm going in now, go home before my mom sees you." I suggest.
"Okay, see you tomorrow, I'll text you." Taeyong says, scratching the nape of his neck.
"Yup, bye~" I wave at him as he leaves. He waves back with a smile.

I enter the house and as soon as the door made a noise when I closed it, mom walks towards me fastly.
"Are you home? It's so late!"
Always these unnecessary questions moms ask. No I'm not home, you're just seeing my ghost.
"I'm sorry mom." I apologize and already make my way to my room.
"Mina, you're really acting different these days." She says concerned.
"I'm okayyyy don't worry about me." I leave the living room and disappear in my room.

I just throw myself on my bed and just lie there like the lazy girl I am. Realizing that I didn't take off my makeup yet, I stand up to wash my face and get ready for bed.
I really hope Taeyong doesn't get annoying again and wants me to ditch school with him again. I'm missing so many classes, my grades will probably drop. Speaking of Taeyong, I check my phone to see if he sent me any messages since he told me he would text me before I go to sleep.

TY: wake up I can't sleep I need someone to talk to

Mina: WHAT ASDGFJD SORRY I WAS BRUSHING MY TEETH WHAT HAPPENED OMG

TY: nothing I just wanted you to reply
