Jimin still couldn't comprehend what had happened a few nights ago -his pounding headache wasn't helping either- however he knew someone had to of been involved. Namjoon claimed that he passed out at the store so he brought him home to rest. It didn't make since though because he knew Namjoon wasn't there at the time, that he would be sleeping by then and even if he had called Namjoon wouldn't had heard it because that kinda of stuff just doesn't wake him up, it had to have been someone else. That evening he looked around the apartment to find anything that proved the stranger had existed and his mind wasn't making stuff up. He didn't find anything other than a crumpled up store bag of the coffee table with some flue medicine in it and his memory wasn't helping him much either, he couldn't remember anything other than having an argument about money with someone and then crying on that someones couch. One of the only other things he remembered from that night was the sight of a door closing and the sound of soft mumbling.
His thoughts were interrupted by the raven haired boy who began his presentation over the, very brief, History of American Literature. For some reason, as he watched Jungkook bow and then proceed to introduce the name of an author, he couldn't help but think maybe the younger knew something. Not necessarily about what had happened a couple nights ago, but Jimin just felt as if Jungkook knew more than he was putting off. He wasn't sure why he thought that, why he even began suspecting Jungkook, off all people, if anything he should be suspecting Namjoon and his beyond secretive ways. Something about Jungkook just seemed off though. He hadn't visited the convenience store as often as he used to and the look on his face proved that his attention was elsewhere than the presentation he was supposed to be presenting.
Who was Jungkook anyway? Not the one that goes out to parties with his Japanese girlfriend and his friends. The one that smiles at Jimin and holds small conversations with him when he's buying a strawberry flavored energy drink for his insomnia -Jimin picked up on the dark circles under his eyes and his lack of energy throughout the school day- every other day at about four in the morning. Jungkook who sometimes throws a compliment about how he looks better without his glasses and how he doesn't like it when Jimin wears color contacts. He hated to admit it but he didn't really know that much about Jungkook. If he thought hard enough he'd realize nobody really did, except maybe Namjoon of course.
The presentation was short but filled with enough information to meet the requirements to get a decent grade. Jungkook was a bit relieved from the small amount of anxiety that littered his mind whenever he had to present anything, almost wishing he'd gotten a better night sleep because he thought it might've improved his score if he was even the slightest bit fully awake. He thought of a few curse words before taking his seat and resting his eyes a bit.
However when he opened them the bell had rang and Jungkook hoped nobody had noticed he had fallen asleep, especially Ms. Han who he remembered clearly stated that she'd deduct points off of anyone who wasn't paying attention. Hopefully she was too busy grading everyone else's presentation to pay attention to the rest of the class. After letting out a sigh, Jungkook grabbed his books and placed them in his bag, by now now everyone was out of the class and heading to lunch. He coughed and looked around to see that even the teacher abandoned the classroom to go on her lunch break. Knowing this Jungkook slowed his movements and sat back down in his seat still feeling tired. He wasn't hungry so he wasn't worried about being to lunch on time, he wasn't worried about the giant line that'd be huddled around pork and curry buns and the small riot that's be bummed out once they, the curry and pork buns, were all gone.
"You didn't sleep well last night?" Jungkook didn't even have to turn his head to know that it was Jimin. It was a question that he'd heard many times from the older when he'd buy an energy drink for the day. He smiled mockingly at Jimin for showing concern. Jimin smiled back but it was more genuine and understanding than anything. "When do I?" Jungkook laughed a little trying to make himself more awake but it wasn't working. He was about to say something else but Jimin had interrupted him.
