Voodoo Doll: Part 9

Celine breathed heavily and quietly as Leo passed by her as he scurried out of the class. The class murmured before falling into silence.

A few hours later, where is Leo? He hasn't back yet. N thought suspisciously and worried. He's been biting on his pencil in worry. Finally, the bells rang for the dismissal of recess. The students restlessly scurried out of the classroom except VIXX and quiet Celine.

"What has taking Leo hyung so long in the toilet? He hasn't come back since the first period. Not even the the teachers bother to order us to fetch him," N complained.

"Ms. Kim is bitchy as always," Ken commented and N pinched him. That's not what N meant.

"I think something bad happened to Leo hyung. We should go and find him just to make sure," Hyuk suggested.

"I hope he's not mad at me after what I've said to him last night. I think that's what made him cried earlier," N guiltily said.

"What? You saw him cried just now?" Hongbin complained.

They jogged out of the classroom except for Hongbin because Celine seemed to have caught Hongbin's attention. He was worried of her and so he approached her.

"Celine? Are you alright? You don't seem well," Hongbin concerned, considering that she looked a little bit pale. Celine lifted her face up and stared at him weakly. She coughed and she covered her mouth to prevent from infecting Hongbin. She checked her palm and she spat out blood onto it. His eyes widened in shock.

"Shit," Celine cursed silently.

"Celine! You're not feeling well! You need to go to the emergency room right now!" Hongbin shouted in panic.

"N-No... I-I don't want t-to," she stuttered frightenly and coughed more. Hongbin feel her forehead and she felt hotter... as in sick. She's having a fever.

He grabbed her hand but she refused. "Aniya! I'm fine! I just need a rest!" she shouted in exasperation.

"If you rest here, there will be a pool of blood on your desk. You need to have a proper medical attention. I'll take you there," he insisted. He slung her arm around his shoulders and lifted her up bridal style. He ran to the emergency room and shouted at the people to aside to clear his way.

Meanwhile...

N, Ken and Hyuk arrived in the restroom with a halt. "Leo? Leo-jjing!!! Where are you?!" N shouted but the toilet gave a quiet response. Not even a small sound of someone's breathe.

Hyuk kicked down the door of a stall that was locked. To his surprise, "Hyung! Leo hyung was here!!!" Hyuk shouted. N and Ken scattered and they found Leo's uniform jacket. It was stained with little fresh blood.

"Shit! No no no! What happened to him?! He has to be here!" N sobbed in fear. None even dare to imagine what happened to Leo.

"Where's that little vermin, Hongbin?" Ken asked.

In the emergency room...

Celine was lying down on a bed while Hongbin sat on a chair next to the bed. The nurse scolded at Hongbin, telling him that Celine was perfectly fine. Nothing affected her. He was flustered.

Some time later, she woke up and interlocked her hand with his hand. He was shocked for a while but then, he felt cool with it.

"Celine. You're finally awake. I was worried that you might never wake up because of the bitchy nurse," he grumbled lowly, hoping the nurse didn't hear him. Celine chuckled in amuse and she sat upright, leaning against the board.

"How long have I been resting?" she asked him.

"Not long. Probably an hour or less," he replied and she nodded softly.

"I need to go home early," he's going to be so pissed. She thought. "Thank you for helping me eventhough I'm stubborn for not arriving in here," she said.

Suddenly, another appearance was made. Lucas Kim entered the emergency room with a grim expression spreading all over his fine face. She was alerted and she softly disconnect her hand that connected with Hongbin's a few seconds ago.

"Lucas. W-what are you do-doing here? Shouldn't you be--" she stuttered nervously.

"Some of the teachers called me that you are feeling unwell and so I decided to bring you home early with a proper treatment," he emphasized.

She looked down and nodded reluctantly. Hongbin helped her up to her feet and Lucas grabbed her wrist, pulling her away from Hongbin.

"Don't you even fucking dare try to take Celine away from me or else you won't be going home with your hand that interlocked with hers' earlier," he threatens him a warning. Celine grabbed Lucas's arm.

"Lucas. I'm the one that interlocked my hand with him first. I just needed... comfort,"

"Celine..." Hongbin uttered.

"Let's just go home. You're not feeling so well," he informed. He intertwined his fingers with hers. Celine nodded.

"Thanks for your help but I don't really appreciate it," he grimaced and the both of them disappeared out of the emergency room.

I never really liked that guy anyway. He thought in grimace.

Then, the phone in Hongbin's right pocket vibrated. He fished it out with a sigh and answered the call. It was N.

N: Hongbin! Where the hell have you been?!
Hongbin: I'm in the emergency room because--
N: No excuse! You need to come here right now!

Hongbin gritted his teeth in frustration and cut off the line rudely. Helping Celine to the emergency room is an excuse. Not a made-up excuse.

This old crack will make me grow white hair very fast than him. He thought in frustration.

Celine was feeling more of not - well than usual. Lucas carried her and laid her down on his bed. He sat next to her.

"Do you need anything Cece? Just ask. I'm not that cruel," he asked sincerely. She looked at him and gave him a weak smile.

"I'm cold," she shivered.

Lucas nodded obediently and walked to one of the cabinets to grab extra blankets and a duvet to cover her up. She snuggled almost immediately at its warmth. He adored her and their foreheads touched.

"Do you need anything else?" he kissed the top of her nose.

"Please don't hurt him," she begged. They both knew what she meant.

"Sorry babe. We don't have any anaesthetics. But the important thing is, he doesn't die," he smirked. Celine faltered as soon as Lucas planted a kiss on her forehead. He sang a soft lullaby into her ear that made her fall asleep.
