Chapter 1

Mitch POV

Day 1

Finally.

Spring break.

I've been waiting 3 months.

3 fucking months, for today.

Because today I'm going on a cruise with my best friend,

Kirstin,

for two weeks.

Two weeks going around the pacific and stopping in some tropical places that I haven't even heard of before.

But I'm excited.

I can't wait to make some new memories.

"Mitchy?" I hear someone say through the door.

"It's open!" I yell from my dorm room, throwing my last stuff into my suitcase.

I hear the door open and I see my best friend, Kirstin.

"Are you done packing?" She asks, "We have to leave in like an hour."

"Yeah, I'm just putting my toothbrush and stuff like that, I'm almost done."

"Do you need any help?" Kirstin offers, kneeling down on the ground next to me.

"Nope! I'm good." I tell her with a smile.

"Okay!" She says cheerfully.

"Looks like someones excited." I say, a small laugh escaping my lips.

"Why wouldn't I be? Fourteen days at sea with my best friend, what's better than that?!" She says, jumping up and down.

I chuckle and roll my eyes. She's probably more excited than I am.

I still can't believe we got such a good deal with this. Our college gave every student a 15% discount for this, so a lot of people I know will be there, which has it's pros and cons...

After about 10 more minutes I finish packing my bags and we head out the door. I lock my dorm and give my spare key to the counselor.

"You guys have fun!" Mrs. McKenny, our counselor, says.

"Thank you!" Kirstin and I say at the same time. We look at each other and laugh.

We get outside and make our way to my car.

I grab her suitcase and put it in the trunk of my small chevy.

All of our luggage barely fits in the car, but we manage.

"Why did you need to bring so much stuff?" She asks me, looking at the fact my stuff took up 70% of the trunks space.

"We're staying for fourteen days, so fourteen outfits," I tell her. She raises an eyebrow at me.

"And that doesn't include the nice looking stuff!"

"Why would you need 'nice' looking clothes? You could wear an oversized shirt and all the boys will be drooling over you."
