I laid in my bed as I debated whether I wanted to get out of bed or stay here all day. I pushed the blankets off my body and forced myself to sit up. A groan escaped my lips as my feet hit the cool hardwood floor. I didn't want to leave the warmth and the coziness of my bed, Yawn loudly, I got up with a stretch and silently walked to the bathroom. A hiss escaped my dry mouth as I turned on the bathroom light. The cold tile floor made me gasp as my eyes fell on my appearence.
My blue eyes were smudged with black eyeliner that had put on last nght for dnner with my dad. By the makeup on my face and last night's outfit stll on, made it clear that I came home and passed out before washng my ace and changing my outfit. My dull dirty blonde hair was sloppily framing my chubby cheeks and a few strands stuck to my cracked lips. Pulling my har into a high sloppy bun, I stared at my horrifying appearence staring back at me. I turned on the faucet and splashed the chilly water on my face to wake me up. Leaning over the sink, I let the water drip as I rested my forehead on the top of the faucet as my hand found its way to the handle to turn it off. I shut my tired eyes and listened to the water drip in the sink.
Standing up from my awkward position, I made my way to the shower to turn it on. The steam swirled in the air as I removed my dress from last night, dropping it in the clothing hamper. Next, I removed my sheer tights, also puttng them in the hamper. I reached behind me to unclasp my bra, gasping as my hands bumped against the sore indent left by my bra caused by sleeping with it on. I shook the straps off my arms and let it fall to the floor with a soft thud. I looped my fingers through the sides of my underwear to removed them from my hips. I tossed the underwear into the hamper before climbing into the steaming shower.
As I stepped into the hot stream, my body erupted into goosebumps that covered my entire body. A sound of satisfaction escaped my quivering lips as the water warmed up my shivering body. I wrapped my small hand around the side of the shampoo before popping open the top and squeezng a dollup into the palm of my waiting hand. I rubbed my hands together to form a nice lather in my hands. I brought my lathered hands to my har adn started to scrub the fruity shampoo into my shoulder length hair. With the shampoo in my hair, I squeezed some bodywash onto the loofa to scrub my body clean. I stepped back under the water to rinse my hair and body. I squirted the face wash into my hands and rubbed the grainy cleanser against my skn. Before shutting off the water, I rinsed off my face and let the cooling water cascade down my body once more. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped the blue towel around my body.
Once I was dried, left my towel on the sink before heading to the bedroom to get dressed. I pulled on a black bra and red underwear before searching for a pair pair of jeans. After I pulled the jeans on, I found myself slipping on a Ramones shirt with a red and blue plaid flannel over it. My fingers fumbled with the buttons on the cuffs as I slipped my feet into my waiting slip-on shoes. I couldn't remember if they were Toms or Bobs. After staring at myself i the mirror, I decided against wearing make-up because I was too lazy to got through the motion. I dried my hair and put it into a messy sock bun. With one last glance at the mirror, I was off.
Math class seemed to zoom right by, which I was thankful for. I wasn't very good as math. You could say that we despised one another, mostly me. I could never grasp the concepts of math and all those ridiculous terms. Don't even get me started on theorems. Just the thought of math gave me a headache and upset me.
I rubbed my tired eyes as I took a seat at one of the tables where students went in between classes to do homework or just hang-out and relax. I came here to relax and to spend time with my good friend, Connor. We always spent this time just catching up on our week. It was nice having someone to talk to who wouldn't judge me. We talked about everything under the sun and the moon.
"Hey." Connor said shyly before sittng down. His pale grey eyes glance at me as he leaned against the table. The black beanie covered his blonde curls. I will admit that he was attractie but I wasn't looking for6 a relationship.
"Hi." I forced a smile. He ignored my tone. "How've you been?"
"Well..." He thought about his week. "Its been a typical week for me. I went to work, came to school and slept." I looked at him, not sure what to say. "Has he called yet?"
"No. I understand that he is busy and all but I know that he has a break right now. His mum told me." I said rather quickly. "I haven't talked to him in several months. We have so much to catch up on. I just miss him." I sighed.
"That's understandable, Addison. You haven't seen him in a long time. I'm sure he'll see you while he is in town." He smiled at me. I nodded but I had no intention to continue to talked about my best friend. We ended up talking about our plans for Christmas holiday. He was going to France and I was buying a cat to begin my collection of pussy cats.
"I'll see you next year." I told Connor as I went to my English class. I sat down and pulled the notebook out of my satchel. I opened up my notebook and began to work on my essay.
I sat in my 6pm class and worked on my paper as the sun began to set. It had been a boring Monday and I wanted to go home. The teacher organized her desk as an eerie silence spilled through the room. I sighed heavily as some sneezed causing people to jump, which was followed by laughter. I smiled at how ridiculous we were for jumping. I guess we were all just really focused on our work. People went back to work as others chatted about how silly we were for jumping.
I stared at my paper, not really remembering what I was writing about. Now that we had been distracted by the scary sneeze, I wasn't feeling up to writing anymore, especially since we were writing about a scary experience we had. I didn't want to scare myself further. Setting down my pencil, I stretched my back until it popped.
We had been working for a hour and it was obvious that we were growing restless. I rested my chin on my hand and stared blankly ahead of me. The white walls were boring and plain. I was really starting to dislike college. The walls were far too boring for my liking. I gave out a bored sigh and the teacher shot a glare to me.
"That is incredibly rude, Addison." Mrs. Hossenport informed me. She was actually a nice person, but you could see how tired she was. Hell, we were all tired. It was Monday and no one wanted to be here.
"I'm sorry. It has been a long day." I apologized. A few people nodded in agreement. I had told the class on the first day that I was very popular on YouTube, some of the people in my class were fans of mine, so they knew that four days a week I was really busy. I packed those four days so busy that I was lucky to have freetime. "I won't let it happen again."
"Once you have completed your conclusion, you are free to go." Mrs. Hossenport informed us. I looked down at my paper, glad to be on the last paragrpah but my mind was frozen and I was stuck thinking about other things. I mentally cursed myself for being stuck on the fact that someone sneezed and it scared everyone in the room, well besides the person that sneezed.
My phone caught my eye as the screen went dark. I bit my lip and hurried to finish the last two sentences for my paper. After staring at my paper for a few minutes, I ripped it out of the notebook and packed up my stuff. I set the essay on the desk and I left the classroom.
I woke up my phone to see that I had a voicemail but no one had called. I groaned as I went to check the voicemail. I brought the phone to my ear as I walked down the stairs.
"Ehrm hi Addi. Mum wanted me to call you. Well uh I wanted to call." His raspy voice stumbled over his sentences and I stopped as I stood at my car. "I'm at your flat now. I wanted to see you but you aren't here. So call me when you get this. Ehrm bye Addi."
I hung up the voicemail and quickly dialed his number as I jumped into my car. As it rang, I pulled out of the spot and sped home. He didn't answer. I redialed and called him again.
"Hello?" His raspy voice answered and I couldn't help but to smile.
"I'll be home in ten." I said as someone started to talk to him on his end. He told them to shut up.
"I'll be here, love." He said. I hung up the phone and drove as quick as I could. I parked my car and let my feet carry me quickly up the stairs to my flat. When I reached my floor, five figures stood at my door. I cleared my throat and those familiar green eyes met mine. "Addi!"
