Ashley's POV
I was walking along the halls of Alfea. It has been an amazing week here with no worries except for one thing. My identity. Daphne and Ms Faragonda told me that I am the Flame of the Earth. It sounds like a big title or role just like Daphne's ( Nymph of Sirenix).
I was curious about my powers so I headed to the library everyday after classes to find out more about it. However, the days went by without any findings. All I found was Domino, Dragon Flame, The Great Dragon, The Flame of Domino, Flame of stuff I can't even remember but nothing about The Flame of Earth. This was getting on my nerves and today I was going to continue my search. However, I'm not heading to the library instead I'm heading to Daphne's office. If anyone knows about it, it'll be her. I thought about Ms Faragonda but perhaps going to Daphne first will be more comfortable.
Here I am. Standing in front of her office. Knock,knock,knock...
"Daphne, are you in there?"
" Yes, who's at the door?"
" Oh, it's just me, Ashley."
" Come in, Ash"
I walked into her office and was amazed by its beauty and elegance. Shelves full of books were at the sides of the room and in the middle was like a solar system sort of thing only it showed the current events at each magical dimension and sparkled. The other decorations are just too much to explain it was simple yet elegant and showed Daphne's personality perfectly.
Daphne: I was expecting you.
Ashley: Ohh
Daphne: Come, sit. Want some tea?
Ashley: Err... Ok
Daphne: So, you're here because of your powers, I suppose.
Ashley: Yes, well and what I'm suppose to do. Because this seems like a big thing and I just don't know what to do.
Daphne: I'm not even sure myself. Hmm... Let's see... (waving her hand, causing some fairy dust to take a book from the highest shelf) Ahh.. There's got to be something here. Ok! So you already know about how the power transfers and what is its source right?
Ashley: Yes.
Daphne: There's not much records of this power because it's ancient and top secret since The Flame is among normal people on Earth. Wait a sec! This page...
Ashley: What is it? Does it have any information?
Daphne: No... Its well....
Ashley: (bends towards Daphne and looks at the page) Its torn and it looks like it was done on purpose. Daphne, why do you think someone would want to tear a page of such an ancient and precious book?
Daphne: I'm not sure. (flipping through the pages)
* A piece of old parchment fell out*
Ashley: (catches the parchment) It looks like... What is it?
Daphne: Its a map.. There are words here but its Ancient Greek. Ash, go get the Winx and your friends! We have something to discuss about.
*Ashley called the others and they all gathered at Daphne's office*
Bloom: Daphne, what is it?
Daphne: Here have a look at this. It's a map that fell out from one of the ancient books about Magic History. Ash and I were trying to look for information about The Flame of the Earth but we only found this.
Tecna: Tia and I can scan this parchment to see where it come from... And are these words Ancient Greek?
Daphne: Yes, that's right.
Tecna: Alright! Tia, let's get to work!
Tia: Ok!
Musa: The parchment looks really old and if it's in Ancient Greek it means the person who drew this map is very old and lived way back before us.
Daphne: Yes, I thought so too.
Tecna & Tia: Girls!
Tia: We found something!
Stella: Great! Let's hear it!
Tia: This parchment is indeed very old and 1000 years old to be exact.
Wind and the girls: WOW!
Tecna: And this parchment is made of a very rare substance which can only be found in Ancient Greece.
Jessica: Ancient Greece means the place in this map might not exist anymore... unless...
Michelle: Unless what?
Jessica: Unless we go to the oldest sites in Greece.
Daphne: Yes.. Tecna, Tia, anything about these words.
Tecna: Oh yes, according to my SmartComputer it deceiphers into a riddle. Listen to this...
Seven powers shall answer this call,
To earth evil shall fall,
A mission rhythm must face,
A secret power I embrace,
Waiting for opposite to stand,
As wisdom leads in hand,
Follow my mark,
Till the spark.
Ashley: But what does it mean and what mark?
Flora: Here look! (Points to the corner of the map) It looks like a pair of wings but one of the sides is literally on fire. What is that?
Aisha: We can go and ask Ms Faragonda about this.
Stella: I agree.. but first (pulling out an envelope from her purse) its New Year Party time! I will design all of your dresses for the ball.
Girls: Haha...
