Sam walked to the school with a big smile on her face. She'd never been to an actual school before. She dug in her pink sparkling backpack for any type of perfume. She brought out one that had a peach on it. She sprayed herself with it nearly fourteen times.
As Sam set foot on the school on the campus she tingled from head to toe. She opened the school doors with excitement. As she looked down the tan hallway she smiled.
Her smile faltered when she heard someone call out, "Nice hair, Grandma!"
It was a female voice. Sam kept her composure. She had been warned by Ruby that bullies would appear at school and antagonize her.
Just then someone else said, "Where'd you get your backpack?"
"It looks like you!"
"Meaning it looks like trash?"
Nearly everyone in the hallway began laughing. Sam began to tear up. Why were they being so mean to her?
Suddenly someone grabbed her by her sleeve. It was a boy with a small beard. He was far bigger than Sam and taller. He had a red tank top and jeans. He had brown straight hair.
"You're cute ya know. But overdressed," he commented, "Am I right?"
Cheers erupted throughout the hall. Sam struggled furiously.
"Let me go!" She screamed. The bully didn't listen. He instead grabbed her skirt.
"LET ME GOOOO!" She screeched as loud as she could.
Suddenly a boy with black hair, a streak of it was dyed blue, launched himself at the bully. The bully fell down tremendously. The black haired boy still stood, holding onto his upper arm.
Then a brown haired boy, slightly shorter than the black haired one, came up behind him.
"Bro, that was wicked!" The brown haired boy yelled, thrusting a fist into the air.
"I think my arm is broken," the black haired boy said, grinning.
Sam finally mustered enough courage to ask, "Who are you?"
"I think that we can talk about in a safe amount of feet away from the napping gorilla," the black haired boy replied.
He grabbed her hand gently. Sam felt her heart flutter as she felt how gentle he was. He called back to his friend.
"Come on, Derek!"
"Aw Kevin!" The one named Derek whined. "Can I fart in his mouth?"
"Maybe later," Kevin said. Then he looked at Sam in her eyes. She blushed. "Let us be off then, milady.
Sam giggled. She made some friends. Friends who just helped her. Stood up for her. And they were funny.
