A couple months ago, I woke up with no recollection of anything-no name, no memories. My age was not even remembered! I woke in what seemed like no where, which was fitting for a mind that seemed to be drifting nowhere.

It was large white room, with a small window that showed I was in a forest. There was a wall with a projector sitting across and my bed was in the corner by the window but on the side of the projector. Instead of a door, there was a hole in the wall that would send out necessities like food or toiletries or fresh new white clothes. For restroom needs, there was a toilet, sink, mirror,  and shower in the corner across the foot of my bed. Everything was white.

When I awoke the first time, just as my feet touched the cold floor, the projector beamed a video on the wall. A bald olive-skinned-man with a very loving smile stared at me with vivid green eyes.

"Hello?" I question, with my fear very obvious. "Where am I? Who are you? Who am I?"

"Ah, very good questions indeed, Subject 339. You may just call me the Overseer. Welcome to Home Away from Home.

"Home Away from Home, or H. A. F. H, is where you have been given a new chance at life. Your past memories have been erased, and, as long as you are good, you will start your new life in a few months.

"While you are here in your room, everything is activated by voice. Say you want to watch a video on dolphins. Just say 'Show me a video on dolphins' and a list will come up and you would then say which one you would enjoy.

"There are also documentaries and quizzes you must take to graduate into your new life. These will just help you know the world around you and how to get by in your assigned life. Please have a fine day and food comes at certain times only."

The video blinked out and was replace by a smiley face and the words 'Welcome to your new Home Away from Home.' With that, I strode over to the mirror and looked at myself. I was almost a ghostly white and dark untidy hair falls down to the middle of my back. Scared blue eyes looked back at me blinking. I did not even recognize myself-this was not me. This was when I decided to get out and find my old memories myself because I did remember one thing: I used to have same olive skin and the green eyes of the Overseer.
