He woke up ready to go, 10:30. His phone went off.

"I don't think I can make it, something came up"

He frowned at the message from Jess, he tried this one so many times back when he was depressed.

"Jess are you lying?"

"No"

"Yes you are, I tried that one billions of times until someone caught on."

"I'm serious"

"Jess your coming with me today, I'm coming to get you what's your address?"

"(Address) Adam you don't need to do this"

"Yes I do, I'll be over in 10 minutes"

There was no response, he sighed. He got in his car and stopped at Tim Hortons and grabbed her a coffee. He went to the address she gave him. He got out of the car, she was sitting on her patio in a chair with her bare feet up on the railing. Smoke blew out of her mouth as she flicked her ciggarete to get some ash off. (I don't know if Jess actually smokes but she is in this story).

"Morning" I say, she quickly buts the bud out and stands up. "Uh hey" she says, I can tell she's not doing well. "Here I brought you a coffee" I say, she takes it and thanks me. "You should go get ready so we can go to the offices" I say, she sighs. "Adam  I don't think I should, I'll be.... intruding and bringing everyone down" she says, I pull her into a hug, I don't care if I barely know her. "I've been through thus before and the hardest part is getting out of the house" I say, she invites me in and to goes to get changed.

I look around a little, some self help books on the self but barely touched, minimal dishes. I walk into the kitchen, something catches my eye on the counter. A pill bottle. It's green with a label slapped across it.

'Jessica Phenix: Aquire once a day.
    Anti-depressants for mild/major depression'

That's what I thought, it is depression. I hear her come back downstairs, I quickly move. I have to admit, the ten minutes she was gone she pulled herself together. She had thrown on a pair of blue jeans with a rip in the knee and a long sleeve white shirt. He hair was messily in a bun but it looked nice. She put on her glassed and took a quick look in the mirror. I couldn't see her face only her reflection.

   "you look like shit. ."

She mouthed to herself, she really didn't. She looked gorgeous and much better then I did I'll tell you that. "Ready?" I ask, she picks up her wallet and her phone. "I guess so, let's go" she says, we walk put of her house. I open the door for her and she climbs in. As we drive she turns to me. "Are these people going to like me?" She asks, I place a hand on her shoulder. "I think they'll love you"...
