30 days that's all I have left to be a normal teenager before I become Luna who will lead beside someone who terrifies me as well as everyone else, this is going to change my life forever.
Trying to ignore two huge guards following me between classes and trying to act like a normal seventeen year old is hard.
All around school everyone's been whispering about how the alpha is going to make an announcement at the new years party about his mate and how lucky Brandy is. She's been really enjoying the attention it's been getting her, does it bother me...no not really if I could give her the opportunity I would.
"You won't believe what I heard Brandy saying in gym today" Bella says slamming her tray down beside me we all look at her knowing it's going to be something stupid
"She says that when she becomes Luna she's going to be a born again virgin" Everyone at the table goes quiet before we all burst into laughter
"She cannot be serious that girl's been with every other guy in this school" Russel says trying to catch his breath
"You know I heard her actual mate is Jason Myers and she rejected him because he didn't want to take her to prom" Jenny chimes in

"God I hate training on Fridays" Moaned Bella as we stretched in the field
Training on Fridays are usually brutal they try and wear us down before the weekends so we don't party to hard which usually doesn't work but they have fun trying.
"Have you seen what Brandy's wearing" Crystal laughs as she jogs up to us
That's another big thing about these trainings alpha comes and watches to see how we're proggressing he strives on having the biggest, strongest most aggresive pack. He gets some sort of sick enjoyment of seeing us battle it out it helps him weed out the weak ones.
Before we know it we're being put into the groups while the most brutal attack method we've ever seen is demonstrated for us. That's when I feel him, I'm drawn to him like a magnet but don't acknowledged him. The trainers make us do some warm up excersises before we get started which leave us all panting before we even truly get started.
We all wait our turn and lucky for me I get to go last against the biggest guy Duke from the football team, he's twice my height and weight. But I never back down from a fight plus Duke is secretly a big teddy bear he's always been sweet to me whenever we're talking or at a party.
The training activity is going well I'm holding my own and almost winning until Duke comes at me wrong knocking the wind out of me as a sharp pain shoots through my hip. Before I know what's going on the guards have Duke pined down snarling and snapping at him. Changing back I'm wheezing as I try to catch my breath Bella comes running up to me, the guards back off of him when they start to see I'm getting better.
"That...hurt" I get out in between wheezes
When I finally catch my breath Duke tries to come over to apologize but the guards are keeping him from me, the trainers end todays session allowing us to go home. Bella helps me home even when I tell her I'm ok then mom tries to fuss over me but all I want is to go take a shower.
The hot water feels good streaming over my body washing off the dirt, sweat and anger from my body I hate that Duke got the best of me. When I get back into my room after my shower I drop the towel looking into my full length mirror inspecting the bruise forming on my hip, when his voice comes from the corner of the room.
"Are you in pain?" Which causes me to let out a scream he seems so calm as his eyes track my body as I scramble to cover myself
"You know people knock, what are you doing in here?" Pulling my comforter off my bed I pull it tightly around my body
"I had to make sure you were ok" He says walking over to me he's so close I can feel his heat but I can't meet his gaze
This is not how I wanted my mate to see me naked for the first time let alone that he is the alpha, I feel so emberassed somehow ashamed. He tilts my head up to meet my eyes they are so pretty but it's like he can read every thought that's racing through me.
"You have nothing to be embarrassed about...you are stunning" He says getting down on one knee pulling the blanket back from my bruised hip turning me to get a better look his grip is strong on my thigh
"Don't make me ask again" He says looking up at me my heart feels like it's about to burst
"Not to much I'll be ok" I whisper
"You say the word and I'll end the man who did this to you" He says standing back up lowering his head our lips almost touching mine
He threads a hand into the hair at the back my head then presses his lips onto mine they're soft, warm the kiss is passionate it takes me a minute before I kiss him back melting into him. My body is on fire I reach out with my free hand touching him for the first time, he is solid. Before I know it the kiss is over he doesn't back up right away, I feel dizzy it's almost like I'm high.
"You did good today" He murmured just as there's a knock at the door
Just like that he backs away from me going for the door not saying a word as he pushes past my my sister, who looks stunned.
