Marco's P.O.V
I hate this.
It's killing me inside.
My internal organs are ripping each other apart to a battle of the death.. Over the love of my life.
"Marco, can you believe some idiot had the nerve to send me another poem?" Jackie scoffed, awaking me from my captivating thoughts. I coughed a bit, hoping to hide the crimson red bitch climbing up my face. She shook her head as she slammed her locker shut and threw the poem I spent hours writing into the nearest trash can.. Thanks.
"Yeah, some people just don't understand" I chuckled weakly.
"Well, I'm going to go smoke with Janna, are you sure you don't want to come?" Jackie asked, sounding a tad disappointed. I waved her off, despite really wanting to hang out. As soon as she was out of sight, I leaned against a locker and sighed dramatically.
'Marco, you could have any girl in this prison and you chose the one chick that wont look your way. Idiot' I thought to myself. Jackie really did love me though, as a buddy to skateboard with on weekends, that is.
"Marco W. Diaz to Mr. Candle's office please! Marco Diaz to Mr. Candle's!" the loudspeaker called. I growled as I walked through the hallway, not even bothering to admire the faces of the petrified students who gladly moved outta my way. My fists were clenched as I barged into the office. What right did they have calling me down to the office on my personal time? Who do they think they are? I was stunned to see a decently attractive blonde in one of the vintage waiting chairs. I winked at her, but frowned when I noticed she never looked up at me. 'What's her problem?' I asked myself sarcastically.
"Mr Diaz, take a seat" Mr. Skeeves, our horrible school principal, instructed firmly. I glanced around the dim room to see that the only available seating was next to the mystery girl. I shrugged and sat in the seat next to her, inhaling the refreshing lavender scent she gave off. I glanced over at her to notice that she was shockingly pretty. Her eyes never left the floor, but I could tell that they were a stunning shade of crystal blue. Her golden locks fell perfectly from her ponytail, not a single strand out of place. It was almost as if she brushed her hair a hundred times just to make it shine. She had florescent pink hearts on the ends of her cheeks.. You would've thought they'd look weird on a girl, but it was.. Cute?
"Mr. Diaz" Principal Skeeves spoke while clearing his throat. "Mr. Candle and I.." he gestured to the thin man with the silky brunette hair, "..Have come to the unanimous realization that your grades are... Sinking and we-"I had to interrupt him. I didn't care what he had to say next. Sinking? Now I was pissed off. So you dragged me here to say what a crappy student I am? Wow thanks. "I don't give three shits about my grades!" I yelled and jumped up. My face was fuming and my expression was grim. The girl next to me flinched at the sudden change of mood.
"Mr. Diaz! Watch your language or I swear you will be thrown out of this school!" Mr. Skeeve screamed, obviously tired of my attitude.
I smirked and calmly replied, "I dare you.. Expel me"
Mr. Candle put his firm hand on Mr. Skeeve's tense shoulder, silently begging for him to collect himself and breathe slowly. While Mr. Skeeves was as red as a tomato, Mr. Candle stepped in to say, "Mr. Diaz, we are not saying that you are below average. Marco, you happen to be the smartest kid in this school." The blonde shifted uncomfortably in her seat, biting her lip. "..Unfortunately, your grades don't reflect the academic talents you posses."
The smartest kid? No freakin way. Don't try to trick me into thinking I'm some nerd, just to improve my GPA. I'm not an idiot, I know why they're doing this. The school probably needs money from the state, so, they need to raise the overall GPA of the class, and guess who got the lowest scores? That's right, Ferguson did.. I'm a close second. I've been failing school my whole life and NOW they suddenly care..?
"Mr Diaz!" Mr. Skeeves warned, "did you hear me?"
I blinked twice and slightly nodded my head. "That's why I have instructed Ms. Butterfly to be your tutor for the rest of the semester!"
She looked up.
And dang it.
She was beautiful.
Wait, what?
Tutor?
"What? Are you kidding me? I have places to be, people to meet! I can't have some fan-girl bother me for two months!" I shouted. Although she was pretty cute, I still didn't need her following me around.
"This is not up for discussion Mr. Diaz-"
"I don't need a blonde barbie doll chasing after me and trying to cram multiplication into my head! I don't need this!" I howled and stomped out of the room.
"Mr. Diaz!" Mr. Skeeves shouted. Mr Skeeves sighed as she finished with, "I know that a boy your age doesn't want a tutor, but please, Marco.."
I was shocked to see the vulnerable side of our villainous principal. While slowly sauntering back into the room, I looked over at the girl and back at him, "Fine, I'll do it"
