Marco's P.O.V.
"She's late" I murmured while checking my phone. It was officially 4:01 PM. I scrolled through my recent messages to find one from Janna. With a deep sigh, I hesitantly opened it.

Hey dweeb party @ my house 2nite it'll be lit I'll bring booze!
"Hey!" Star smiled as she took a seat on the wooden stool. I quickly shut my phone off and grunted. The petite blonde rolled her eyes as she opened her book bag. She carefully pulled out 3 glittery pink binders, all filled to the rim with papers and notebooks. "Okay, which subject would you like to start off with?" She asked curiously.
(Time Skip Until 5pm)
I have to admit, being stuck in a quiet room for an hour with the uptight blonde has made me not completely hate her as much as I thought I would. Star Butterfly totally demolishes the "dumb blonde" stereotype with her quirky attitude and brilliant mind. Don't get me wrong, having a tutoring session with a decently attractive girl isn't what I want to do in my free time, but hey, it could be worse.. She could've been ugly. I watched as she gathered up her things and prepared to leave me.
"Hey, why so soon? You got plans or something?" I asked calmly, attempting to appear like I really didn't care, but on the inside, I don't know why, but I was secretly disappointed that she didn't want to stay. Star looked at me blankly, as if she hadn't expected me to give a crap about her life. The bright lights of the Echo Creek library illuminated her face when she spoke, and dare I say it, she looked adorable.
Marco, remember Jackie?
Oh, right.
"Uh yeah, a friend asked me to hang out" she smiled lightly. Her backpack was now slung around her shoulder. She offered me a wave and hopped out the door. When the demonic door slammed shut, my heart sunk a bit. I sighed and fell back into my chair. As much as I wanted her to disappear from my life, there was something about Star that made me interested.. Something unique. Whether it was her heart-stained cheeks or her strict but loving personality would always be a mystery to me. I got this weird feeling today when we studied. My stomach hurt, in a good way. It was like someone jabbed with with a sword, but the blade was made of chocolate. Maybe it was the McDonald's I had for breakfast, but my tummy fluttered whenever she was around. It was the sorta feeling I got when I first met Jackie, back when I was the "Safe kid." I used to be as lovesick as a puppy. The scarlet hoodie I wore always hid my wild blush, but I couldn't even talk to Jackie without stuttering. The only difference was that I liked Jackie, and Star is just a tutor. I just met Star, how could I feel a connection with a total stranger? It's just not possible.
My mind kept racing off track as I got another text from Janna. A little more confidently, I opened it.
