Adrien had finished getting ready for the galla that he was going to "trash." He wasn't really going to ruin it for everyone, just going to go in, retrieve the miraculous', and get out. But that was easier said than done.

Adrien wore a black tuxedo with some of the brand named dress shoes he stole a while ago, although he didn't think he needed them at the time, and a green tie. He didn't like the outfit he wore, but he needed to seem presentable to be allowed in.

Adrien walked out of the separate room that was his wardrobe. He made it to his car where is chauffeur was taking him to the galla. Adrien wasn't nervous, he wasn't sweaty, he was actually quite relaxed.

He had done this multiple times before, so he knew this would probably be a piece of cake.

When he got out of the car and his chauffeur drove off, he made his way to the entrance. Two security guards blocked his path. Adrien crossed his arms. "I don't have time for this..." he said pouting.

One of the guards spoke something into his walkie talkie and two police came up behind him and grabbed him by his arms.

Adrien groaned. "Come on, guys. I just wanna have a good time," he whined. He saw Nino try to pass through the crowds surrounding the entrance where the officers were holding Adrien.

Adrien smirked and looked at the guard to his left. "I bet you $20 that you'll put me down."

"I'll take that bet." The officer chuckled.

Nino finally made it over to Adrien and told the officers to put Adrien to his feet. Adrien chuckled.

"What's up, Nino?" Adrien asked Nino, giving him a small handshake.

"Nothing much, bro. You?"

Adrien shrugged. "The usual."

Nino laughed. "I bet. Hey, come on, I have someone for you to meet."

(You guys are all gonna hate me for this.)

Adrien followed Nino inside the building. Adrien had passed the miraculous' in their display cases. The urge for him not to jump and snatch them was unbearable for him. But he somehow managed not to.

He followed Nino to a young woman with blue pigtails. "Adrien, I'd like you to meet my fiance, Marinette."

(*Waits for the comment section to stop shooting daggers at poor author-chan* Done? Ok.)

The girl, Marinette, turned to Adrien with a sweet smile. She extended her hand to him. "Hi, I'm Marinette."

Adrien slowly grabbed Mariette's hand and shook it. "Adrien..." he replied, all if while staring deep into Mariette's light blue eyes. He knew he'd seen those beautiful blue eyes somewhere before...

"Adrien? As in Adrien Agreste Paris's worst thief?"

Adrien sighed and wiped the sweat from the back of his neck. "Yup, that's me."

"How and why'd they let you in?"

"Nino helped out." Adrien said, gesturing towards Nino who grinned.

"Yup. And you're welcome to help yourself to anything. And I don't mean that literally."

Adrien chuckled. "Don't worry, Nino. I'm not in the mood to steal tonight. I'm just going to stay in the sidelines." Adrien, walked to the wall and leaned against it.

Nino's father caught up with Nino. "Son, why'd you let him in?"

Nino shrugged. "Better here than out robbing someone."

"That's because everyone worth robbing is here!" But Nino didn't hear his father, he had already caught up with Marinette. He tapped on her shoulder and asked her to dance, she gladly accepted and took her hand in his.

"Having fun?" Nino asked her. Marinette hummed and nodded.

"Yes, I am. But why'd you bring Adrien in?"

"Adrien and I are...old acquaintances. I know him better than anyone else."

"And?"

"I know he wouldn't do anything if it would upset me."

Marinette smiled sweetly at him. "Ok Nino. I trust you." She giggled.

Adrien had received so many constant glares and whispers behind his back, hr almost snapped. But he knew better than to do that to Nino. Adrien sighed in defeat. It would be very difficult for him to steal the miraculous' with all of this commotion. He decided to leave and try another time.

"Hey Nino, I'm leaving. I'll see ya around." Adrien said.

"Alright Adrien, see ya."

Adrien walked out of the building where all of the classical music and chatter among other people were unable to be heard. He didn't really feel like calling his chauffeur just to wait for him. So he decided to walk. He needed the thinking time anyways.

He didn't realize it, but Nino had followed him out. "Adrien!" He called. Adrien paused and looked back at Nino. "Why'd you leave so early bud?"

Adrien shrugged and let out a deep sigh. "I don't like crowded places," he said.

Nino looked sort of disappointed. He hasn't really seen his best friend in years and the one chance he has to talk to Adrien again, Adrien walks out on it.

"Ok, well, stay safe," Nino said, turning back towards the party. Adrien simply nodded and continued about his way.

Nino wasn't paying any attention where he was going. He walked onto a road, which he thought busy at all. A car swerved around the corner and accelerated, obviously the driver wasn't paying any attention either. Adrien heard a car's tired squeal and an engine roar. He knew it wasn't good.

"Nino!" Adrien jumped in front of the car and tackled Nino out of the way. I guess the people inside heard it too. Adrien was currently on top of Nino, trying to get up. "Nino, you alright?" Adrien asked his friend as he stood up and offered him an hand.

"What do you mean 'are you alright?'!?" Nino father shouted at Adrien. "You probably pushed him on purpose!"

"I was just asking him if he's ok an-"

"Dad, it's fine." Nino interrupted Adrien as he brushed himself off. "Someone was driving recklessly and almost hit me so he pushed me out of the way." He said. "Thanks Adrien."

"Hey, don't mention it." Adrien said. "I gotta go. I'll see you around." As Adrien was leaving, Marinette ran up to Nino. Adrien knew she was there, but didn't dare look back. He had failed to grab the miraculous, and all because of someone he didn't want to remember was present.

"I guess I'll try again another time."
