The woman in black smiled at Liam as he gulped down yet another drink. After a few drinks, he now felt light headed and his joints were loosening. "Give me another one!" He ordered, enthusiastically as he put the glass on the counter. "Easy there, Tiger." Charlie said, as she straightened her black dress. She too had chugged down a glass.
Refill came in almost as instantly as he emptied the glass in one go. Man, he really needed this night out. At this point Liam felt weightless as though his body defy the rules on gravity. His body swayed to the beat of the music in the club and his heart seemed to beat at a accelerated rate. He was officially waking up with a hangover the next day.
Charlie wrapped her arms around Liam's shoulders while Liam rested his hands on her waist. At the moment the club played a rather slow number. All the couples had gathered around the dance floor replicating Liam and Charlie's positions. The only difference was they all seemed comfortable while Liam prayed for this song to end. Having Charlie so close, he could smell her perfume and oh, did he hate it. He got more nauseous with each passing moment. For some reason, he didn't like the way her hands feel on the back of his neck. All in all, he just wasn't enjoying this.
"You look just like your father." Charlie whispered into Liam's ears. "You dance like him too."
Liam took a step back, letting go of Charlie. "Wait...what?"
"Did I say something wrong?" Charlie asked, concerned.
"You danced with my father?" Liam asked, raising his voice a little.
Charlie was lost now. "Yes?"
The world around him was suddenly a blur. He felt a lump in his throat and ringing noise from inside his head. He didn't know what bothered him more: that this woman who was blatantly flirting with him, had the intentions of sleeping with him at the end of the night once shared something similar with his father, or the fact that he was unaware of the obvious age gap this whole time. Nevertheless, it grossed him out.
"I'm sorry but I have to go." Liam turned around and headed for the door. He didn't even look back to see Charlie's response. He didn't want to either.
Once he made it outside the club, it was eerily quiet. The streets were empty, the lights were off; had someone passed by this road right now, they wouldn't be able to tell the club inside is so much alive.
Liam fished out his phone from his pocket and speed dialed.
"Hello?" A sleepy Zayn answered after two rings.
"Zaynie my man! How do you do?" Liam screamed into the phone, making Zayn move his phone away from his ears.
"Liam, are you drunk?"
"No?" Liam hiccuped. "Yes?"
"Oh God. OK tell me your location and I'm coming to get you." Zayn said, as he got up and rushed for the keys to his car.
"I don't know. Some rainbow coloured bar."
Zayn pulled up next to Liam while he was saying some gibberish on the phone. Zayn had kept him on the line because he was doing commentary about his surroundings and in case he decides to wander off elsewhere, that would be helpful. "How much of what did you have?" He asked the drunken boy, chuckling at his state. Liam's hair was tousled and his shirt with was previously tucked in was no longer like that. He only had one arm in his jacket.
"I had an old lady drink." He muttered, pouting. Zayn couldn't help staring at him. He just looked so cute.
Liam tried to walk but he almost tripped. So naturally, Zayn got out of his car, took him by an arm and helped him get to his car. Once they were in, Liam looked at Zayn, smiling.
