A/N: Another shot because of my lack of updates recently, yay

That morning when he walked into the mountain, he wore his mentors clothes. It seemed that over the past couple weeks - the Boy Wonder had grown.

His lean legs were longer. The black, button-up shirt he was wearing hugged his muscles. The chubby baby face had been replaced by defined cheekbones. He'd even stole some of Bruce's expensive colognes, that he only wore to business meetings.

He was almost unrecognisable. Almost.

Robin strolled into the living room, knowing that was exactly where his team would be.

He decided not to say anything, and cleared his throat instead.

All at once, each head turned.

For a moment there was a look of confusion on their faces. Had this random guy just walked in? Is he a villain?

Then they noticed the little things like the ebony hair and the shades that belonged to their youngest member.

"Rob?" Wally asked wearily, uncertainty laced his voice.

Connor relaxed his clenched fists and softened his face as the man cackled, confirming his identity.

Wally bounced up to stand up next to him. Instead of looking down, Wally found himself looking up. "Did-did you bump into Klarion the Witch Boy and he's hit you with a spell?"

He thought Wally would say something like that. Robin smiled sheepishly at the floor, trying to hide how happy he was now that he was taller than him.

"What has Batman been feeding you?" M'gann gasped, speaking what was on everyone's mind.

Robin readjusted his blue neck tie and took a seat. He confidently spread out his arms on the back of the couch and shrugged.

He was enjoying the attention, and since his growth-spurt, he'd been dying to get back and show off his height and manliness. He even made sure not to shave the one chin hair he'd grown.

He had hopelessly begged Bruce about coming home early from the mission. He wasn't needed anyway. But Bruce wouldn't let him, and he stayed the full two weeks.

Now that he was starting to look his age, the team couldn't treat him like a baby.

"I guess I was always supposed to be tall," he smirked, pretending that he his voice hadn't just cracked.

"Pfft," came from Kaldur. Which immediately clamped his hand around his mouth after doing so.

The room went silent for a second. A quiet snigger escaped Wally's lips. He felt bad, but couldn't hold it. And neither could anyone else.

The team burst into a controllable laughter. Robin may look like a man, but he didn't sound like one.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Artemis laughed out.

Wally was on the on the floor on the verge of tears, laughing in the most over the top way.

Robin shook his head and closed his eyes, trying his best to ignore them. His confidence slowly diminishing. He was thankful M'gann and Conner hadn't said anything. M'gann was too polite, and Connor hadn't been a part of the conversation since it was revealed he wasn't an intruder. He was more interested in channel hopping.

"It just happens once and a while," he gritted. "It's not that funny."

"He did it again!" Wally stated loudly, looking at M'gann and Connor to get a reaction. "I think I like this new Robin!"

He was regretting wanting to come back so eagerly.

Robin glared at his best friend. Wally's green eyes looked back. His laugh started to die down, settling down the others.

"Welcome back, Rob." The ginger pulled himself up, and took the seat next to him.

Kaldur sensed there was a change of subject needed. "So how did the mission go, Robin?"

"Great," Robin smiled back. "Everything went smoothly and according to plan. I was pretty whelmed about..."

Wally tried to stop himself, but he couldn't.

That was it, Robin decided. He was never speaking again.
