Mistakes

Stick in groups

On Saturday I got up and grabbed an icy pole from the fridge ( it fuckin winter who eats icy poles in the morning anyway).

I picked up my phone and saw that Scarlet gave me a ring ,I couldn't ring her back because I had no credit so I decided to take a walk to her house.

I knocked on the door.

No reply.

I went around the back and knock on the door, all of sudden my feet left the ground and I was thrown across the yard.

I blacked out.

I woke up on their couch.

"What the fuck happened" I said in a daze.

"I'm sorry Ruby I didn't mean to hurt you I thought you were a mundane."

"Why would you hurt a mundane?"

"Haven't you heard! They are blaming us for the war and the evil destroying stuff. Now there are groups of mundanes going around and killing the gifted in their own houses and out on the streets. (To tell if you're gifted you have a certain kind of tattoo on your shoulder.) I tryed to tell you so you didn't come out of the house."

"Fuck a fuckin duck were in the shit!" I exclaim turning around and checking out surroundings.

Now I was conscious.

"I know, it's not even safe to go to school and we will have to stay in groups" Scarlet says, her eyes facing the ground.

"What now if mundanes turn on us?" I asked.

"Well... there's always the 5 chosen ones."

My mum and dad are mundanes so I won't be a big target. But I'm still scared oh well who isn't. And to make it worst , the power cut out.

"Fuck these days are just gonna get worst isn't it?" I growl.

Then I saw a rock going through the window. "Seriously! A rock, you can do better than that!" I said in a smart ass way.

"We got to get out here, but how?" Scarlet says in a whisper.

"Ummm daaahh, I'm a shape shifter." I say with a cheeky smirk.

Then I changed into my cheetah form hoping Scarlet hopped on and I jumped through the smashed window, but me being an idiot, cut a giant gash in my side. I was having trouble running and there was a mob outside.

They were willing to kill me and Scarlet, I felt the pavement meet my paws and face I couldn't get up.

Scarlet was hurt on the ground I didn't know if she was dead or just hit her head.

I got back up on my 4 legs and nudged her with my head and threw her over my back, we still had an angry mob behind us I started limping towards Harry's house.

I though that I lost them but when I got to Harry's, they were right behind me.

So I ran up the steps and barged my paws on the door there was no answer and the mob was just 10 seconds behind me. The door was open so I just ran in,collapsing under my paws.

Scarlet fell off me landing next to me, I shift back and breath heavily. Trying to regain my breath.

And ran home dragging scarlet behind me, dad was going to find out that I was gifted but for all I know I could have my friend dead on my back and I could be dying of blood loss.

I walk through the door and dad was in the kitchen.

"Ruby you have to stay inside for a few days theres a war between us and the gifted"

I made a groaning sound and went up to my bedroom while dad was making lunch lucky he didn't see me and placed scarlet on my bed and curled up near her.

I heard the door open

"WHAT IN FUCKS NAME IS THERE A CHEETAH IN MY DAUGHTERS ROOM!!!"

I looked up at him and through telepathy I told him

"I'm sorry dad...... I'm gifted"

He look at me and scarlet not angry but sad and I change to my human form and fell asleep next to scarlet,

I could hear her light breathing I was relieved she was alive.

I woke up after 16 hours of sleep on the couch with my side all bandaged around my stomach, with the a ice pack on my forehead I get up and walk into my room to see scarlet still laying there, I'm just still scared of whats going to happen next.
