Poppys POV:

I had so many questions but then the doctor walked in the waiting room looking tired.

"Liam Lights family?" He questioned looking betweening us and another couple.

Me and Lorina immediatly stood up and started bombarding him with questions.

"How is he? What happended? Is he in a coma?"

The doctor held up his hand and we quickly shut up.

"Okay, the good news is he is alive, and the bullet missed his vital organs by about 1cm." We both breathed and relaxed a bit. Then I tensed up again...

"What is the bad news?" I asked, my voice wavering a little bit.

" The bad news is..."

"... He is in a coma that could last from about a week to a month depending on when he wants to be awake again." The doctor said, with a sincere look on his tired face.

"Ok, when can we see him?" Lorina asked, as I was still processing this information.

Coma!

A week to a month!

Missed his vital organs by 1cm!

My brain turned to mush as the doctor and Lorina had a conversation and then they finished and Lorina walked me over to my chair and sat me down on it.

"The doctor said we can see him in about 15 minutes when the nurses have finished checking him." She said, to break the silence.

I blinked myself out of the daze I was in and turned to her and forced a smile on my face.

"Than-" I got cut off by the waiting room door being slammed open and my mom rushed through with my dad grumpily following her.

Her eyes scanned the room and fell on me. Her eyes were red and puffy, filled with worry and concern.

She ran over to me and I immediatly stood up and stumbled towards her. She wrapped me up in a hug until a loud grunt of dissapproval was heard by my dad as he doesn't believe in children hugging their parents.

"Oh my God, How is my baby boy? Where is he?" My mom pratically shouted.

"Mrs Light, It's me Lorina, you will be able to go up now to see Liam." Lorina said, and mom immediatly grabbed mine and dads hands and dragged us out the door to the desk area.

"Can I have the number to my son, Liam Lights room please?" She asked, politely eventhough she was in a hurry to see her only son.

"Sure ... He is in room 204."

"Thankyou" She answered, before pulling me and Dad to the elevator. She got in and pushed the floor button for the room 200's.

"Poppy, Is Liam alright?" Mom asked. That was when I realised she didn't know because we hadn't told her yet.

The elevator door opened and Mom walked out with me and Dad in tow.

"Mom... Wait." I shout at her befre she opens his door and she turns to look at me.

"He is in a c-coma... H-he could be in it f-for a w-w-week or a m-month" I tell her.

"N-no"

She opened the door to his room and as badly as I want to see him I know I should give Mom 5 minutes with him.

With a grumpy look on his face, Dad went and sat down on one of the chairs outside the room.

"Why don't you care?" I asked, out of the blue. He has never rang us up to ask about our day like Mom does. He has barely ever spoken to us. If he ever did speak to us it was to do with education or behavior.

He sat silently. I scoffed and gently opened the door labeled 204. I peeked my head around the corner to see Mom on the left side of his bed, sat on a chair holding his hand as she leant her head on them.

I walked in and carefully shut the door. Liam was paler and looked ill. Other than that nothing looked any different. I sat on his right side and took his other hand as salty tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek, dripped off my chin and onto my lap.

Another.

After.

Another.

"Please wake up" I whispered as I hunched over his bed and lay my head down and silently cried myself to sleep.
