The group walks over and sits beside Riley just watching the sunset. It looked like a painting with the New York sky line with the sun barely hovering over the buildings shining as pretty as gold. Causing pink-ish purple-ish skys behind it.
"Riles? You okay?" Maya asked hugging Riley. Riley stayed silent all they could hear was her sniffling. "Listen we are really sorry." Lucas said knowing that they all feal bad for their own reasons. Riley still continued being silent.
The group sat there silent when Riley eventually stopped crying and was just watching the night sky. Smackle was whispering to the group Riley couldnt hear although she didnt care much. They all agreed on something and looked at Riley.
"Riley," Smackle started Riley didnt even look at her "Me and Farkle broke up." she said Riley immediately turning to her. "You- You what!?" Riley said in complete shock. "We decided to just stay friends." Smackle told Riley you could see the hurt in Rileys eyes "Because of me?" Riley said so innocently that everyone felt their hearts shatter. "No Riley not because of you." Riley could tell she was lying she just turned around and watched the moon.
The next day of school was kind of better. It wasnt as awkward and they actually talked to eachother.
"Maya?" Lucas said the whole group was now paying attention to them. "Huckleberry." Maya said mocking him in a flirty way. "Wanna go to the movies on Friday?" Lucas asked Maya. She smiled and turned to Riley and Riley was smiling big too. She gave Maya a nod. "Yes I would love to." Maya said.
"Riley?" Farkle said the whole group was now paying attention to them. "Farkle." Riley said cautiously knowing what was to come. "Wanna go to the movies on Friday?" Farkle asked Riley. With no expression on her face she turned to the rest of the group who were smiling and nodding (including Smackle). "Sure, I would love to" Riley said.
The whole group smiled, but there was still something wrong.
