It was still early and chilly when chatter and laughter woke Garra up. The vine-woven bed moved as if someone sat beside her.
“Tristan! Stop it! I’m trying to sleep” she exclaimed, obviously annoyed.
“So are you here just to sleep? You should be awake already! TRAINING!” a young lady’s voice claimed.
Garra’s eyes flashed open. “Who are you?”
“Master Tristan? Is she really this stupid?” She turned to Tristan who was drying his hair.
Garra shot a look at the girl sitting beside her. Her hair was fiery red but her eyes were in a deep shade of blue. It looked like fire and ice together. Her skin was also marvelous, like marble. She looked Eastern and Western mixed together in beauty. She wore a dark blue turtleneck sweater and tight pants with grey boots.
From the girl beside her, her gaze now shifted to Tristan. She had a questioned look on her face as if she was trying to suck up answers from him.
Tristan opened his mouth but was suddenly interrupted by a tall young man with dark hair and glasses who stepped inside the cottage. “I’m sorry for Spicca’s behavior. I am Orion by the way and just like Master Tristan here, we are scouts.” His eyes were a deep shade of brown that gave a faint glint as he gave a charming smile.
With Orion’s help, Garra pushed herself from the bed. She looked at their new companions and gave them a welcoming smile.
“Basil, Estelle, and Oregon are outside talking to Roziel. They are filling Roziel with information on the conditions in Krean.” Tristan informed Garra with a charming and soothing voice. “And you should take your breakfast now then clean yourself. There’s actually a shower in this cottage you made.”
Garra nodded convincingly and made her way to the vine-woven table and chair that had her breakfast laid out. Spicca, Orion and Tristan were conversing with each other as she ate her way through her bacon and pancakes. They seemed to have that serious look as they spoke but they still looked like angels to her.
The door slowly opened and three more people came inside. The first one to come inside was a guy with a small build. He has got black hair but his eyes were a deep shade of crimson. He was pale, but he was also charming. He had a dimple as he smiled and waved to the three sitting on the bed. He simply looked harmless but his eyes were another story.
A short tawny haired girl followed the red eyed guy. She was tall and slender and had a beautiful curvy body. She had a creamy complexion that brought out her beautiful brown eyes which looked at Garra gently. She gave a bow and carried on her way.
The next who followed was a tall dark guy with tanned skin. His head was bald and his eyes were dark. A scar also ran down his forehead down to his eyebrow. This guy sent fear inside Garra. He looked like an enemy rather than an ally for her.
The six of them huddled together as if planning a great surprise master plan. It was Tristan who checked to see if Garra was finished and called her in. Tristan immediately turned his head back to his companions as soon as he saw Garra stand up.
