'' Closed eyes, heart not beating, but a living love. ''

A ringing sound continuously played in her ear drum, never wearing down as her body came to a stop when sliding against the shiny flooring. It felt as if the sound was heightening with each second that passed.

She lifted her head up, feeling a trail finger blood running from right ear as she pressed her hands against the floor.

Lea's brown orbs grew wide from the hazy vision, caused by the nausea the Beast had impacted. Her gaze scanned the light trails of blood until a silver Marushin US M9 caught her eyes.

The creature from up the hall knew her next moves and crept it's way closer to the girl, knowing full well Lea Ramsay wouldn't last given of her weak attempts.

The brunette wrapped her nimble fingers around the handlebars the gun and forces herself onto her back, a grunt slipping out from due to all of the pain she was in.

Trigger after trigger, anger tears fell from her eyes as she watched the creature step back with wimpers.

She let's out a scream, letting the bullets easily slip out of the weapon and enter the body of the creature caused her the most damage tonight.

Lea screwed her eyes shut and remained at her stance on the floor with her index finger constantly pulling the trigger, the ringing in her ears have not yet to cease.

''Lea!'' A voice called. But the voice sounded as if called from afar.

''Lea!'' The voice boomed much louder.

Opening her eyes, the Beast was no longer there, only the useless bullets that laid hot on the ground.

''Hey,'' Liam called softly. With the use of his index and middle finger, he tucked them under her chin and turned her head towards him with light use of force. ''Are you okay?''

Braeden and Malia immensely eyed the girl whose bottom lip trembled involuntarily, letting out a throaty response. ''Amber.''

''We have to get her to the hospital,'' Scott prompts to the group. He kneeled over the blonde with a heartbeat that barely kept it's regular standards. ''Now.''

''We need to follow the scent,'' Malia prompts. As much as she loved Amber, finding out who the creature that goes on releasing killing sprees were more important in this instant.

''She's dying,'' Scott exclaimed, looking back at Maia with arched brows. He assured his pack that no one was going to get hurt tonight. Nobody was suppose to die. It'd be slightly different if it was an innocent bystander, but this was someone in his pack. This someone he had to watch over and to make was safe.

Lea swallowed deeply. ''I'll take care of her, just go.''

''We can't just let you go by yourself,'' Liam insisted. But now wasn't the time to be Mr. Sincere. Either go with Lea to the hospital or stay with his alpha.
