Since I broke the news to everybody that I was pregnant, they wouldn't allow me to go out or do anything so I stayed at Ashleigh's apartment while she went to see Alaejah and Alicia at work. I always wondered what the strip life was like. They bring home mad cash almost every night and the shit looks exciting to see them counting up bills like that, but being with a nigga like Pistol I know for a fact I wouldn't even make it to a strip club. Overprotective isn't even the word to describe him. He hates for me to go out with my friends, he keeps tabs on me to make sure I'm where I say I am at all times, but hey I can't blame him. He's been through so much in his lifetime and he just wants to make sure he's not being fucked over again. I'm trying to make him open up his eyes and see that I'm not trying to play him, I just want him and only him and now that I have this baby things are going to get better for us. I know he'll be a great father by the way he is with his nieces and nephew. You might as well call them his kids, because when he's not at the trap or hanging out we're always with them. It's a miracle I even got pregnant how much his nieces stay up my ass and his nephew stays in his face. But I love it though, it was just getting me prepared for my own blessing that's about to come in January. I'm so overjoyed and ready for all of this and I'm going to have a great support system by my side.

I plopped down on the coffee colored recliner in the living room and turned on the big 72' tv that sat in the middle of the wall above the fireplace. The air was blasting in this hot, June weather. I flipped the channels until I found one of my all-time favorite movies on, Mr. Peabody & Sherman. I snuggled up into the pillows and got comfortable as I watched the movie almost dozing off. Not long after I got good into my sleep, my phone started vibrating signaling someone was calling me. I looked down at the phone and instantly got annoyed when I saw my father's number. Hesitant, I answered anyways because if I didn't, the calls would keep coming.

"Yes dad?" Rolling my eyes as I answered.

"Change your attitude, this is your stepmother." The aggravating whiny voice blasted through my ear. I took my phone off my ear and looked at it to make sure I saw my father's number correctly because he should be the one on the other end of the phone.

"Why are you calling me from my dad's number? Why are you even calling at all?" I asked, my voice full of aggression and attitude.

"Your dad and I just wanted to check on you to see how your first night away is going. Must you be so mean to me? I'm really trying." She said, sounding like she wanted to cry.

"Well I really don't want you to try. You're not my mother. Now goodbye." With that I hung up the phone and got back comfortable in my spot. There's nothing more annoying than an aggravating person who doesn't know when to stop trying. One thing I despise is a cheater and a liar, and that's what my dad and his new wife is. They both cheated on their spouses, broke up happy homes and trying to act like everything is okay when it's not. How can I accept a woman who knew about my mother, but still chose to be in relations with my father. Being selfish and only thinking of herself, hurting my mother, me and her own children in the process. You have to be all kinds of low to cheat on someone who you know is in love with you and do it with so much ease and be able to come home to them like nothing has happened. I love my man too much to step out on him. I can't even look another way because to me, my man is the best thing in my eyes. Lamont O'Dell "Pistol" Green, is my everything and this baby will be my everything also. My little family that I will keep together at all cost and I'm glad my cousins are standing beside me.

The Next Day

I woke up a little earlier than usual when I heard arguing coming from the kitchen. Ashleigh had a nice three-bedroom apartment, but it was too small in here for all that yelling. After emptying my bladder, I tiptoed my way down the hall towards the kitchen when I saw Ashleigh and Derrick going back and forth. What the hell was he doing here when he's married? I just stood there, not making my presence known.

"DERRICK YOU ARE MARRIED! MY SISTER DOES NOT NEED TO BE CAUGHT UP IN THIS MESS!" Ashleigh screamed. Well ain't that bout a bitch. I was just expressing my hatred towards cheaters and homewreckers and my own damn cousin is one. Lord have mercy.

"Ashleigh I just need you to keep her ass here till I get back, I don't need her and Tracy crossing paths." He pleaded with her.

"NO! HELL NO! Both of y'all knew that you was married. I won't cover for you and I damn sure won't cover for her. If they bump heads that's just what the fuck has got to happen. Nobody told you to invite both of them to your damn grand opening knowing she's gonna want all your attention while Tracy is there."

He rubbed his hand down his face. I completely forgot about the grand opening of him, Pistol and Cairo's new club tomorrow night. This pregnancy news has been so overwhelming that I haven't even gained the confidence to tell Pistol and the grand opening of Klassics slipped my mind. I finally walked in the kitchen and they both looked at me.

"Whatchu doin here?" Derrick asked me.

"Damn I can't come visit?"

"P know you here?" He asked again nosily.

"No and I would like if you kept it a secret until tomorrow night at the grand opening." I said with my attitude on full display.

"Mia, please tell this fool that I am going out to have fun tomorrow and that he needs to cut ties with Alicia TODAY!" Ashleigh said annoyed as she got food out to cook.

"Please don't stress me out." I said shaking my head. "Alicia needs to find her own man and you're married. If you knew you weren't ready for the married life why did you do it?" I asked curiously.

"I love Tracy duh."

"Then why is my cousin in the picture?" I shot back.

"Man I don't know aight. I fucked up with Tracy and I'm tryna make shit right but yo damn cousin won't leave me alone. When I try to break it off she goes ape shit and start doing crazy shit."

"Look we'll talk to her. You go fuck your wife and take care of your kids. But call her in an hour and break up with her ass or sometime before tomorrow so I know she won't show up to that damn grand opening." Ashleigh said.

"Aight man." With that he left and I turned to Ash.

"What was all that about?" I asked reading a text from Pistol.

"Girl wifey catching on to shit and he thought she was going to a family reunion and invited Alicia to his damn grand opening to be up in VIP but Tracy will be there and you know how she is. Extra and more extra." I giggled along with her. "Yea I know. But why is she settling for this shit? She's obviously the sideline."

"Girl Alicia is all about herself. And when self only thinks about self, you don't see the destruction you're making for you and everybody else. I tried to tell her but she gone do what she want and she a grown ass woman. I just pray this shit don't backfire and she end up pregnant or dead cause fuckin with a married woman's husband is some shit you don't wanna fuck with." We chitchatted over pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and cheese grits with a glass of apple juice and just enjoyed each other's company. This Alicia situation really made me think about a lot of things. Pistol might get a visit from me today instead of me surprising him because knowing he's Derrick's right hand man, I know he knows about Alicia and if he's upholding this then I wonder if he'd do that to me or has he already done it?
