The Outbreak
“JANE!!!” I shouted, “You will not believe me, you have to see this!”
“What? You finally learned how to open a chips bag?” Jane answered me.
I usually get these kinds of responses from her, but this is a serious case.
“Jane come here NOW! There is something on the News!” I shouted again, finally I saw her aimlessly walk toward me.
“... What is it to be so serious?” she smirked while sitting down beside me on the couch.
“Jane...” I said, “Listen to this... Your lab is the Rosewild Stage 6 Laboratory right? I believe something crazy happened there, it’s gonna be live in a couple of seconds!”
“Don’t tell me it is true, my lab never experienced this, it is impossible! Our biohazard products were enclosed far beyond our reach when we were done with them... The radiation might reach us faster than we think... We got to tell our close ones Max, this is a global threat.” she responded.
On the TV screen you could see people running from the lab like crazy.
“There’s at least ten of them, Jane.” I laughed trying to get her back. I was also trying to keep myself calm.
“Max? You do not realize...” She started responding.
We looked from our window with my binoculars. We saw all the action outside. Chaos. One word. Chaos.
I grabbed my brand new rifle that I have gotten in the store earlier this morning and put ammunition in it and pointed the gun at the door.
“There are a lot of noise coming from there, Jane, get behind me fast and get the camera ready, can you also get my rifle-camera?” I whispered to her, “Please, we need people later to know what happened today.”
“What are you thinking Max! Are you crazy? Whatever the plan is it probably does not suit me.” she yelled back.
The noise outside the door froze, you could hear quiet footsteps.
“Jane. Go to the storage room and grab food supplies, cameras, and hiking backpacks for us both.” I whispered softly, “Now go, I will handle whoever is there.”
She ran to the storage room. Then there was a knock on the door, no, not a knock, more like a vacuum sticking to the door. No, not them again! I thought to myself as I heard a voices outside of the door.
“Open the door, this is an Emergency Situation, get me Jane Willsnorth now! This is Doctor Cattlinet, Doctor Howarhead and Doctor Jutikas!” shouted the voice outside.
I let the visitors come in, maybe not visitors, they were my sister’s co-workers.
My sister rushed back to the living room with all the supplies, “It’s a pleasure to see you. I have heard what happened on the news. This seemed like a pretty peaceful Sunday to me...” Jane rushed in the conversation.
“Doctor Willsnorth, we have the virus Tunguska out of our grounds. It has escaped.” Doctor Cattlinet said with a worried voice.
“TUNGUSKA? Are you out of your mind??” I told them
“Yes. The virus was a test to see how ultraviolet waves of solar energy could convert into a disease that could be more lethal than anything. We had the final stages of work to be done on it, and they were done yesterday. We added our other virus named Yhuanna that changes the shape of a body, and practically...” stammered Jane
“Turns the people into zombies. Those two thing were combined making Tunguska, the Tunguska virus can only be disinfected in the land of Tunguska. Plus, we have not tested the disinfection process yet so it might be a threat... that the virus... does not have a cure as of now.” finished Doctor Jutikas.
